Question about Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Web Cam

1 Answer

Logitech pro9000 My wife has a Logitech Pro 9000 webcam and is useing it on a computer with Vista. I have the very same webcam and I have windows xp. her camera is out of sync. when she moves it takes a couple of seconds for the camera to catch up. I never have this problem. I have deleted all Logitech from her computer. Went to the website and did a clean download. Still have the same problem. I have tried two different servers. Google Chrome and Firefox. No luck. Same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try downloading the Microsoft clean up utility and see if Logitech is listed on the programs - if it is - highlight it and hit 'Delete'

Restart your computer and re-install the software

Congrats on getting the 9000 - it is one of the best webcams on the market. To use it simply launch a video chat program like Skype, MSN, or Yahoo. You can also use a program on your computer to take webcam pics and record webcam videos. I downloaded the free version of Debut on my laptop for pics and videos. The article Answers to Your Webcam Questions has a lot of tips and links to free programs like Debut you can download and use with your webcam.

It is possible your webcam is either disabled or the driver is corrupted. Try reloading the webcam software driver, reboot, and then try the free webcam test tool to check if it is working properly.

I am looking at buying a Webcam and the Pro 9000 sounds very nice. Will it work with VIsta?

Yes, this product is fully compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7.

Remember to always use the latest drivers found on the manufacturer's website:

Logitech webcam ppro 9000 driver not loading

Hi

First, download the vista driver/software from here
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/3056&cl=gb,en?osid=13

Unplug the camera from the computer, run the downloaded file.
Plug in the camera when asked. if it still does not work, open device manager by right clicking on my computer or computer which you will find from either desktop or from start menu.

On the computer management window, on the left side click on device manager, then on the right side, find your webcam from the list or look at any devices with a ? mark.

Right click on your webcam or on a device with a ? mark and select properties, tell me the status and the name of the device. then open the Details tab, and tell me the Device instance ID - Value.

What pc is it? Laptop /desktop, mac/pc,os is windows or mac? vista, xp, etc?
probably a driver problem, but would be helpful to know the pc environment.

Logitech quick cam pro 9000

Hello!

Logitech does not support Quick Cam Pro 9000 on MAC OS. The only two supported operating systems are Windows XP and Windows Vista.

You might go with a bit more expensive Quick Cam Vision Pro that is supported on Mac.
