<font face="Courier, Monospaced" class=fixed_width>Hi to all,
I am changing from the NTX-system to DBFMDX rdd. The problem is, that I have problems with the dbf-files themselves: they are changed! I know that the first character of the file is an identification for different dbf-systems (like Dbase III, IV, etc.). But now, the first character changes to 143 (yes, a dbf with a .DbT). This is not recognized by VO2.5b3(?)
What is the best way to create / check these index-files?
I Create them at startup of the app by using the info from the Indexlist-prop of the DBserver.
<font face="Courier, Monospaced" class=fixed_width>Can we ask first why you have chosen this particular rdd?
Why not DBFCDX. Its generally superior to MDX. In particular you will be restricting memos back to 64KB (they are unlimited in CDX) as well as losing dinex optimisation and certain expression types for orders.
