Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The standard response to concerns such as yours are:

  • look over the owner's manual. It would be a sticker or an insert;
  • inquire from the dealer (point of purchase). You must have the VIN, radio serial number and proof of ownership.
To address your need for a site who does this for a fee, Pls check and confirm with:
Unfortunately, both are UK based. Alternately, you can try:
  • looking over the glove compartment left side or inside, underneath the ashtray;
  • if the radio has been worked on before, some techs write it on a piece of sticky and often left on the radio itself.
Additional information:
  • it would be a 5 digit code;
  • erroneous entry (3 times) would cause the radio to "LOCK";
  • if so, the battery terminals must be removed for an extended period of time (more than an hour) to reset the security lock to accept code entry.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

You can get the code from the manual which you got while buying the radio .

You also get code from local repair shop by providing the serial number.

I need the code radio for acura integra ls 1997

.If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number,which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory,then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!

Radio code for Acura Integra LS-SE 1996

Well, ive solved my own radio problem LoLz! On my 1996 Acura Integra LS-S the serial number is located on the back of the radio. The dealership told me to bring it in and they will remove my radio for $9O. That's ridiculous.If you can remove it yourself then you save ninety dollars. Or just do what i did...I squeezed my lil a** under the steering wheel and peeked behind the indash thingy where the radio is held and with a flashlight i was just barely able to see the serial number. I dont know if the serial numbers are all the same for all the makes, models and years like mine. But heres what i got. The serial number is: PH22481 the code for the radio is 26162. I called my local Honda dealer and gave the serial number and they gave me the code over the phone. If it doesnt work try disconnecting the battery for about 6O seconds and try again. Good luck and i hope this helps. FOR I FINALLY HAVE MUSIC!!!! YAY!!!

Radio Reset codes

  • You will need to find your radio serial number...this is how you can do it on a 2001 MDX
  • Press preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time.
  • Turn on radio.
  • An 10 digit serial number will appear on display. make sure to include the small numbers or letters as well. This only works if the radio is locked.
    After getting the radio serial number you will need your VIN number...call the dealership where you purchased the vehicle and give them both numbers and they can get it for you...thats the only way I know how to get the code.
