Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The standard response to concerns such as yours are:

  • look over the owner's manual. It would be a sticker or an insert;
  • inquire from the dealer (point of purchase). You must have the VIN, radio serial number and proof of ownership.
To address your need for a site who does this for a fee, Pls check and confirm with:
Unfortunately, both are UK based. Alternately, you can try:
  • looking over the glove compartment left side or inside, underneath the ashtray;
  • if the radio has been worked on before, some techs write it on a piece of sticky and often left on the radio itself.
Additional information:
  • it would be a 5 digit code;
  • erroneous entry (3 times) would cause the radio to "LOCK";
  • if so, the battery terminals must be removed for an extended period of time (more than an hour) to reset the security lock to accept code entry.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

You can get the code from the manual which you got while buying the radio .

You also get code from local repair shop by providing the serial number.

I have recently bought a Nissan Micra 1997 and was told the Radio does not work because the Code was removed.How do i get the Code that make's it work.

If this is a factory-installed radio, you should be able to retrieve the code through the Nissan dealership. Be sure to bring the VIN number of your car and perhaps some proof of purchase of it to prove ownership. This service is likely to cost something.

I had to disconnect my battery and dont have my radio code, can you help please (have jeep grand cherokee 1999)

Welcome to FixYa.

Unfortunately you will not get free codes anywhere on the Net for Chryslers. Each of these radios has a code that is unique to the radio and its serial number. There is no standard Master code for these radios and the code must be retrieved from a special database.

You will need to remove the radio from the dash to find the serial and part number on a label at the very back of the radio.

Then go to this site where you can get your code for £7.99. It is the cheapest around and one of the few around that can do Chrysler radios is also very accurate. Just send them the details and they will email the code back to you.

If you go to the Dealer they will charge you £30 for this service and as stated you will not get the code for free on the internet as only a very few people have access to the Chrysler database for these codes.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa

Hello,please help me find radio and Cd code for ACURA 2009 JH4CU2F64AC014118 S/N of CD 10002925

Hello! I am sorry to hear you are having a problem! When the car was purchased new, it should have came with a card inside your guides and brochures with your radio security code. They usually dont print them in the book because of security issues. Check the books/paperwork in the glovebox that came with the car and see if the code may be hand-written in the manual maybe in the notes section or in the stereo section. Check for a card that may be included with the number. If they are not there, then you will not be able to get a solution to your problem on the internet. You will have to have your factory radio removed and get the serial number off if it. You will then need to contact a Honda dealership and give them the serial number and they will be the only ones who can give you the code. Make sure the code is entered properly because you only get a couple of times before the radio locks down. Depending on different dealerships, some charge for this service and some will give it to you for free over the phone. Again... you will need the serial number off of the radio. I hope this helped and good luck with your venture!!

How do I get the code to my 1998 acura rl radio. I also have my radio serial #.

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

I need the radio code for 92 bmw 325i

Hello,

Here is a site that will provide the radio code for $28.99.

http://www.radio-code.com/

You will need the serial number of the radio. There are 2 ways to retrieve the serial number. The first way does not require removal of the radio: 1) With the key in the off position - HOLD DOWN THE "M" RADIO BUTTON 2)WHILE HOLDING DOWN THE "M" BUTTON, TURN ON THE KEY AND THE RADIO 3) SERIAL NUMBER WILL BE DISPLAYED 4) WRITE DOWN THE RADIO SERIAL NUMBER. The second method requires removal of the radio. The site above does not support that method of retrieval. In that case, you should probably check with your local BMW dealership.

Hope this helps!
