Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDS25SH Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Is this a good deal ?

I don't really have a problem except that I don't have a dishwasher. I was looking at buying a used Kitchen Aid model # KUDS25SH for $200 dollars and was wondering if I was going to get ripped off. I don't know how old it is but they say it works well. I have 3 teenagers and need one desperately but don't have a lot of money. Was this a good model and how did they hold up ? Any advise you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

My Kitchen Aid Dishwasher model # KUDS40FVSS0 has blinking cancel, sani-rinse and normal wash lights. It will not run at all. We replace the control board and still nothing. Please Help!!!

I have had this problem. Mine didn't work for over a week and by the time the repair man came over to 'replace the board' it suddenly worked. The guy told me that if you use ANY type of liquid dishwashing soap (for your sink) and any residue/bubble is on the dishes, it can cause your dishwasher to break. I have no idea why but I've been really careful to make sure I wasn't using dish soap prior to putting them in the washer.

I've had 3 service calls on this dishwasher since I purchased it 3 years ago. I'm having similar service issues with my Kitchen Aid Fridge. And of course no help from Kitchen Aid.

Residue is left behind after cycle is complete. Dishes looks dirt

if dirt is not being washed away it is most likely you have a clogged screen before the waste tube. Depending on the model. Dismantling the dishwasher takes place inside it and under it where the motor is located.

Dishes not clean and some have gritty film after wash

Popular Science or Mechanical Ill. recently suggested to take the drain cover at the bottom of the unit off and use a shop vacum to clean and clear out the sludge and accumulation in that section it may **** up and solve the problem,at least it is worth a try.

It would help to know the make and model of your dishwasher?
Look for a rinse aid location on the inside of the door. If you find it, either use white vinegar or buy a rinse aid (like JetDry).
If you do not have a rinse aid cap in the door, you can buy some JetDry little baskets that you hang from the upper rack. Good Luck!

Want to replace dishwasher panel with stainless steel

Yes indeed! If you know the measurements, you can buy a stainless panel from www.applianceart.com cut to any size you would like. THey also have a cheaper "faux" stainless option too. Many colors and designs as well.
