Hello,

My name is Armymason, I have the solution to your problem. You need to reset the Router http://office.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/dlink_systems/di514_1.html here is the manual in it should explain how to do a hard reset. I believe for that model you need to have it unplugged and use a pin to hold in the reset button, while holding the reset plug in the router and wait 5 seconds before releasing the reset button. Now it should be set back to factory and all you have to do is enter in the default user name and password. Of course doing this you will have to reset all your settings.

If this solution isnt satisfactory, I suggest using our Premium service.
Thanks,
Armymason

Have taken over this system and need to reset user password as we need to programme the system

There is a small hole somewhere on the back (usually). Get a needle or a staple pin it down to push the button inside the hole. Hold the button 30 seconds to reset the ruter. After the reset you'll have to set it again as it is reset to its defaul user settings (user, password etc). Be sure that you have all the necessary info - IP adress to set it up and default user and password for your ruter (this info is in the manual, a Cd or a sticher on the bottom side of the ruter)

How can i reset my user name & pasword ??

Hi,
If you don't know the user name password of the router then try the default one. For D-link routers the default user name is admin and password is blank (means nothing, leave it empty). If this doesn't work or if you have changed it in past then to put it back to factory settings you need to reset the router.
To reset the router please try the following steps:
1. At the back of the router you will find a reset hole. 2. Press and hold down the reset button for 15-20 seconds with the help of a pen or a paper clip.
Note: Router should be turned on while doing the reset. Also, after reset you need to reconfigure the router means the internet and wireless settings.
Please revert in case of any issue. :)
Regards,
Rashish

I have Belkin Ni wireless modem router. I would like to change the name of my network. How do I do this, please. Don't be too technical, please.

It is not hard to change the name of your wireless network. Well, not hard as long as you have the IP addy for the router and you have the log in and pasword if it is pasword protected. Simply put in the router IP address in your Internet Explorer window like a web addy... most times the addy is 192.168.1.1 If your router is pasword protected it will bring up a login window. Put in the login and pasword and you are in. The main page will list all the information on the router including the name of the network, simply change the network name and then save the changes. And presto bango. Hope this helps.
