It depends on the ram that you have right now. If you have two different type of rams most likely it wont work. If you can't determine what type of ram, I would take it to the store and tell them you need a 1G ram that will work with one in your hand. If you are ordering online you have to find out what your current RAM is. ddr, ddr1, etc...

Hi subbareddy!

Your mobo supports DDR SDRAM memo stucks, and the max of supported memory is 2GB.

Here is all info and drivers for your MoBo my friend

Check your previous memory if its dd1, ddr2 or dd3 and check also your motherboard's manual for this. be sure that you add the same specs of memory otherwise remove your previous memory.

thank you for using fixya

I have intel 101 Ggc Mother board and intel pentium D processor , i was using 756MB ram (512+ 256MB) RAM. But after i brought 1 GB ram and Used it instead of 256 MB Ram the system started restarting...

There is a chance that you have faulty RAM module. If computer is stable on POST (until Windows boot-up) I would suggest to use some testing tools to test that RAM with your motherboard. There is a good program called MemTest. You can find it online if you search Hirens Boot CD. Download it, burn image to disk, put 1GB RAM into motherboard, start-up PC and boot from CD. Then you'll search for Memtest program. I would suggest to leave PC for at least 6 hours for testing to find out if it's faulty or not (better to leave for 24 hours).

Hello Sir, I had 512 MB 533 MHz DDR2 RAM(Dynet). Now I have bought 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM(Dynet). My system has 2 slots. In one slot, I have 512 MB RAM and in another slot, I installed 1 GB RAM that I have...

The Intel D102GGC2 uses a Dual Channel Memory Architecture meaning that both slots need to be running at the same speeds. I would suggest getting another 667 MHz RAM card and installing it along side your current one, just as I reminder this motherboard only supports 2GB RAM Max so don't get one that is above 1GB.

Upgrade ram

hiya

this board is ddr so you will need ddr400 or pc3200 and a maximum capacity of 2gb so be carefull with 1 gb sticks as sometimes this causes system crashes

hope this helps

I want to upgrade my HP BA 600 Mother Board`s RAM Capacity

Hello,
Most likely your MB is too old for this upgrade although there is a chance you could flash your bios (reprogram your computer's brain to accept the new memory providing hp has a flash for it).
here is a link for the latest bios flash for your computer, use at your own risk.

Vista compatiable

intel doesnt list any vista drivers for that motherboard on there site so you might run into problems with the intergraded devices such as the ethernet, audio, chipset, & any intergraded video

You might be able to use the xp drivers but if theres problems it wouldnt be supported by intel
