Question about iRobot Roomba 560 Robotic Vacuum

1 Answer

My iRobot Roomba 560 starts spinning sporadically during the cleaning, and after over 3 minutes it complete stops and beeps 9 times. It is necessary to turn it on until it decides to work properly, and keep waiting for the next time the same failure will occur. I tried to reset it, and I have all the dust removed including from the bumper and sensors.

It's the bumper. Blow it out with compressed air and clean the cliff sensors. If you still get the 9-beep error, call support.

Roomba spins around in 1 place. it then stops and beeps 9 times. it seems perfectly clean sensors are cleaned etc.

Your bump sensors are malfunctioning. The best thing to do is order a repair kit.. I ordered mine from EESolutions.ca and it worked great.

Roomba 560 won't run correctly

Hey
if it's 5 beeps it says: Drive wheel is stuck
You should clean both , push both in and out and confirm it turns freely

Yes, this is known issue and if your bumper moves freely, you might be facing a sensor fault caused by poor quality of components.

My Roomba 560 just spins in circles and then stops and beeps 9

Perhaps its a wheel drop sensor instead of a cliff sensor. Clean the caster, caster axle, caster motion sensor, remove and vacuum or blow the dirt from the left and right wheel assemblies.

Red sensor

If your Roomba's red "check robot" light comes on, the Roomba should also give a hi-lo warning tone, then a number of beeps. Check the number of beeps with the chart toward the end of your manual-- it should tell you what to do.
