Question about Safari Tiddliwinks Musical Mobile (new)

1 Answer

I have a tiddliwinks product that has come apart. It is the cream "bear blanket" about 14" x 14". The stitching all around it has come apart and my 3 month old son had the loose pieces in his hands. I have used the bear only about 4 times. How/Who do I get in touch with for a refund or replacement (it was a gift)?

Dear diane_bishop,

RE: Safari Tiddliwinks Bear Blanket "Coming Apart After Only About 4 Uses"

If your blanket is a Safari then you may want to try and contact them. They are a big company so I wish you luck @ http://my.safaribooksonline.com/contactus
It appears as though Tiddliwinks is a big item @ Target so you may want to take it there and explain to them how this is not a good blanket for young children if, as you say, it came apart after 4 uses. I'm sure Target Customer Service or Management will be Glad to learn this and will probably pull it from the market and give you something similar for free as a replacement. Either way I would like to hear from you so I can put TARGET on my Good/Bad Customer Service List.

What is a dependent variable

The amount of ice cream you get depends on how good you are. The variable is "how good you are". You could be bad, and get no ice cream, or good and get a lot of ice cream.

Lescha Hobby 125 S electric mixer requires new drum main bearing

I had a similar problem on a Lescha Hobby Mix 120 SF. (Sounds similar to yours) The failure seems to have been caused by corrosion of the ball bearings. If you get water into the rear bearing housing when it is operating, and then store the mixer with the opening in the drum downwards, the water collects around one of the bearings. The bearings are a standard size ball bearing with a 62mm outside dia, 30mm bore and 16mm wide. I bought the sealed version from a local bearing supplier (or look one up on the Internet). The original ones fitted are unsealed, which is part of the problem. I also bought two new bearing retaining external circlips for a 30mm shaft. I had a paint round inside the housing with hammerite, and drilled some 10mm dia drain holes around the outside of the housing near the bolting flange. I also store the mixer with the drum horizontal now.

I lost the instructions for the Baskin Robins ice cream maker. Are there some available online?

General Ice Cream Maker Instructions... This should give you the general idea on how to use any ice cream maker. Typically, the ice cream straight out of the maker will be soft so the ice cream typically goes into the freezer to "set"/harden the ice cream.

The ice cream maker should have a container inside of the larger outer container. The ice cream mixture goes into the inner container and the outer container holds the ice-salt mixture.
1. Prepare your ice cream mixture and chill.
2. Pour the chilled mixture into the inner container about 3/4 fulls.
3. Insert the Mixing paddle and cover the inner container
4. Turn on motor and while it's running, add 2 inches of ice on the bottom of the bucket. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup salt over ice. Continue layering ice and salt until the ice level reaches the top of the rotating ice cream can.
5. As the ice cream maker runs, add more ice and salt to ensure the ice level is above the mixture level in the inner container.
6. In about 20 to 40 minutes, the ice cream maker should stop churning.
7. Remove the lid and pack down ice cream in the can.
8. Cover and place ice cream can in freezer for several hours to harden. http://www.epinions.com/review/Baskin_Robbins_Ice_Cream_Maker/content_25404149380 The instructions are on the "mix" packs, all you need is the half & half, rock salt and a freezer. Freeze the canister, insert the canister into the receiver, add the mix and the half & half (on the pack), cap it add the ice around the canister, add the salt over the ice, turn on the machine and stand back.

How do you play Fisher-Price Ice Cream Scoops of Fun game?

Found in a review of the game on Epinions:

"
There are 2 different versions of the game, and it depends on your childs ability on which version you'd want him to play.

One version of the game is each player picks an ice cream sundae bowl (the purple, blue, green or orange bowls), and the 16 plain bowls with ice cream scoops already on them are then dealt out to each player. So if you have 2 players, each player would get 8 of the bowls, if you have 4 players, each player would then only get 4 of the bowls. The player then takes these cards and places them face up in front of him. The 16 cards with just the lone ice cream scoops are put into the tub face down.

One player goes first and scoops the ice cream scoop to see what color it will land on. He then picks out a ice cream scoop card from inside the tub and the object is to see if it matches one of your already made ice cream bowls. If it does, that player yells "Ice Cream" and takes the card and puts it in their bowl. The game ends when there are no more ice cream cards in the tub and the player with the most ice cream cards wins the game.

The other version of the game is almost like the above version except the 16 cards of scoops already in the bowls are dealt face up in front of everyone. When the player takes an ice cream scoop from inside the tub, the first player to see the match of that card yells "Ice Cream" and gets to take the card and put it in his bowl. This version is more advanced since you have to look at 16 cards to find the match instead of just looking at your own cards you were dealt in the beginning of the game."
