Computer shut on and off repeats over and over again

Not sure is this is my computer but it is a XPS Desk Top with tv and all. But last night I had the computer on sleep mood and when I came back in to use it - it froze on me and shut off so when I went to restart it was making a funny noise so I turned it off and restarted and now it keeps acting like it is coming on but shuts off and than comes on again for a couple of seconds and repeats over and over again. the computer is the Dell XPX One Desktop

When you say "funny noise", you could have a hard drive failing. On Dells, if you push F12 while booting, you should get a boot menu. Diagnostics should be in that menu, it's a Dell feature. Anyway go in there and run some tests and see if it reveals anything. If the tests pass cleanly, you may just have a Windows problem.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Computer shut on and off repeats over and over again

hi,
take out the power cable from the system press and hold the power button for 15 seconds and then put in the power cable and try to start, if does the same behaviour again you should contact dell technical support because it might require multiple steps of troubleshooting

Desk to computer shut down problem

Go into safe mode and then go into MSCONFIG and click on the startup tab. You'll see a bunch of checkmarks in boxes of all the programs that are running. Disable all of them, and then restart the computer and let it go into windows normally. It it boots all the way normally then that means you had something running in the background that was causing windows to shut down and you'll have to figure out which program it was and uninstall it.

TV turns itself off after a few seconds, no picture at all

As far as fixing goes, you might as well get a new TV... Unless its a LARGE EXPENSIVE HOLY $%^# TV, It will cost more to fix, than to just buy a new one, unless its under warranty, which being an older model as that (or so im reading) It may not be covered.

Try unplugging the TV, and while unplugged, hold down the power button for a full minute (yes, with the plug NOT in the wall) after a minute, plug it back in, and try. Its a hard reset. If it still does not work, and you've tried different outlets, It's probably a repair issue, and you'll need to get someone to fix it, or just junk it :-/
