Water filter is usually on the bottom of the fridge (outside), beneath the doors. Get on your hands and knees and you should see a circle with a knob on it. You twist it (right or left) until it comes off.

if this box is a 2001 or newer it has a filter in water line. if this is it take filter and bypass that whole filter. also these boxs have main control located back of box and all fuctions go thru this board. If older than 2001 check icemaker were plugs in. You can force ejectors to make the ice maker run. cycle icemaker check for power at water valve. The ice maker valve is the small line
. Check your water filter first . On some models , only the drinking water is filtered . I don't know which model you have therefore you'll have to check and see if your ice maker water supply is filtered or not . If it is not , that is probably a bad water filter you have . However , if it is , I would check the supply line from the chiller located in the refrigerator compartment usually on the lower right hand side at the back of the compartment . The problem could be a plugged supply line from the chiller to the water valve on the door .
look in your manual for the location of the water filter. buy a new filter. if it has no filter , the only other problem is the water line is dirty and water cannot get to the icemaker. if the machine has water at the dispenser and you still have no ice , then your icemaker has a problem
the water valve located on the back of the refrigerator that the water line is connected to could be bad. if no water is coming to the ice maker then it shouldn't have any ice or water in the ice mold. if it is empty you can try pouring enough water in the mold to make ice cubes. wait an hour or so and see if the ice maker dumps the ice. if it does you probably have a bad water valve.
if your ice maker has ice in it but had been making small cubes you should check to make sure you don't have a jam. small cubes could be from low water pressure or a blockage. if your refrigerator has a water filter it may be time to replace it if the water dispenser water pressure is also low.
Even though the water dispenser is OK you need to make sure the tray(s) in the ice maker are filling. The filter valve, located to the rear of the ice maker can freeze over and stop water flow. Check the supply line for the ice maker, it may be separate from the water dispenser.
could be valve, it is located underneath on back. it also could be the mother board. Check valve with ohms metter. Also make sure water resevior or water lines are not frozen inside refrig section. Also water feed line going up through door bottom hinge on freezer is not frozen. Disconnect at couplin at left bottom front and blow through line
First make sure there is a water line connected to the unit and the valve is on. Second, make sure the selector located on the side of the ice maker is in the down position.
Another thing you can do, pull the fridge away from the wall so you can get behind it. If there's a filter installed; turn off the water valve and open the line before and after the filter.
There will be residual pressure in the line after valve is turned off. if you open the line before the filter and pressure is releived with a little spurt of water...reconnect the line and turn on valve; which will build up the pressure again - turn the valve off; and open the line after the filter...no spurt of water means the filter is clogged.
See if the fridge has a water filter...it could be plugged and need replacement...check your manual for the location and replacement procedures
Check the inlet water line to the ice maker...it could be frozen...a hair dryer can be used to thaw it out and get the ice make to work again...be careful and don't overheat the ice maker inlet water line.
Make sure the water line is ok and not obstructed or kinked
Check the ice maker water valve to be sure it opens and isn't clogged
Cycle the arm on the ice maker and wait to see if it will make ice again
if the filter is still ok then could be a solenoid problem.
you have two solenoids at the lower back of the fridge. one is for the water and one is for the ice maker. test the water solenoid by pushing the water at the dispenser. if you have located which is the water solenoid, then the remaining one would be for the ice maker.
hot wire the solenoid and observe if there is water to the ice maker. if there is no water.then either the line is frozen or the supply could be low pressure.
