Driver for Hp Scanjet4200c, for windows Vis...

-   HP apparently will not provide an updated 4200c driver for Vista/Win7, suggesting that the scanner is too old. Mine works fine under XP (which HP initially refused to support), but it seems silly that it should not work equally well with an appropriate driver in Vista. HP wants us to buy a new scanner, which I probably will to run Win7, but the new scanner will not be an HP. -   msl146

-   What a **** of solution is to found the seller web. There are no vista drivers there, but first thing I do when I have no driver is found on the seller web, after, I ask for it -   Guest

-   I haven't find any drivers to match HP Scanjet 4200c with Vista. And it appears that nobody else has. I've looked in so many pages, chatrooms and foros that I'm already tired and willing to buy a newer device. Wish you get lucky!-   attisheloisa

-   The Said Vista - This is only up to and including XP and it doesn't work at all it locks the scanner up at the end of scan and is still trying to strip the cog on the motor which continues to run. geeeeesh! -   dsbusby

-   I have an HP 4100c and OS Vista and computer keeps telling me that no scanner is installed on the computer. I downloaded Vuescan and it still tells me that there is no scanner installed, even though its plugged in. I wish someone would figure out a fix for this issue. Perfectly good scanner, won't work! Also, FYI, the above post gives a website to go to for drivers, but the request clearly states for VISTA and the link is for every OS BUT Vista! -   Guest
