Same problem, I have Orange and T-mobile sim cards, both work fine as the 1st sim, but neither work in the second, I get "invalid sim" for the Orange card, but T-mobile comes up as "T-mobile LINE 1" (I have show on number on) but when I try and ring my number from landline the woman says "calls cannot be connected to this number" so its a problem with the phone not the cards.

I have a vodafone sim, which worked fine for a while and now comes up as invalid sim. I know that when you use the bottom slot you must have the gold strip up the way. I have tried both slots and neither work. Can anyone help?

Ok, this sounds f**king stupid, but, try this
-Dial *#000#
-change the date to one in the past
-switch phone off then on
-change the date back to present
-switch phone off then on
This worked for me.... don't ask me why i even tried this

I recently bought a i68+ from ebay and have the same problem, But have recently noticed that the imei numbers for the slots on the phone are exactly the same. So i presume that with this being the case it will only let one sim work as that is using the imei at the time the other is also trying which to my brain tells me is not going to happen :)

I just got my CECT I9 and had the similar problem with AT&T US. I have a 3G sim and I inserted in to the the top slot (sim 1) and it kept saying insert sim or invalid sim and when I try to make a phone call it says emergency only. I tried a couple of more times and when I inserted the sim in to the bottom slot (sim 2), it regconized as AT&T and showed AT&T with my number and all works well. I had to manually set up the internet connection though, that took a while, but try this link and see if it helps...http://www.geezmogo.com/tutorial_cect_i9_eMenual.html

I68+ Not registering on O2 Irl Network

After further research into the phone, I have discovered that it does not support any 3G network and as vodafone and O2 in Ireland are now 3G networks, neither the I9 or the I68+ will work on these networks. They only support 2G networks(GSM). Will work with Meteor Irl but this network is in the process of changing to 3G so these chinese phones will soon be useless in the Republic of Ireland.

I purchased a unlocked cect i9 and it states to insert sim card how do i unlock phone?

This phone is NOT 3G compatible (it's just it's name ...) if your Tmobile card is 3G it will not work. All CECT phones are factory unlocked !

This seems to be the settings for web, let me know if they work.

1- Set GPRS Account

Goto Home
Goto Entertainment
Goto Services
Goto Data Account
Choose GPRS
Create a new profile on mine I'm currently using a PAYG SIM so have called it PAYG O2 on Profile 8

APN (Contract) wap.o2.co.uk (PAYG) payandgo.o2.uk
Username (Contract) o2wap (PAYG) payandgo
Password password
Auth. Type Normal

2 Edit Browser Profile
Go Back to the Entertainment > Services Menu

Choose WAP
Choose Settings
Choose Edit Profile
Create a new one, I've called it PAYG O2 and choose O2
Choose Edit Profile
Rename if required
Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk
Data Account: Select the Account setup in 1 Above
Connection Type: Choose HTTP and set proxy to 193.113.200.195 and port to 8080
Username and password should remain empty

There should not be any difference between contract and PAYG

Can't receive/make calls and text

Go to settings , Dual SIM settings , and check that you're not in 'flight mode' (that's when the 2 X appear top left) and change it to either one of the 3 other options (Dual sim open, only sim1 open, only sim2 open).
