Your motor module is bad on the ice maker. It is located on the left side when mounted in the refrigerator. It is under the White Cover over the end. It is brown in color. To verify the correct problem, the ice stripper arm in the ice maker that turns and pushes the ice out of the mold, should be pointing up towards you when it is in the mounted in the refrigerator. I call it the 2 O'clock position. If the ice stripper arm is pointing another direction, it is broken. I sell the module on Ebay as username, themackshack. My parts are genuine factory parts. Good luck!, Mack

SOURCE: icemaker

Pull the front cover off the ice maker and force a harvest to see if you now get water. Also if the freezer is not 10 degrees or less it will not cycle. Jump "T" to "H" with a pice of wire stripped back 1/4" on each end. You only need a very short piece of wire. Leave it in the two holes for 15 seconds to see if a harvest will happen and if it will again fill with water.

SOURCE: Ive maker not working

I just resolved an issue with my kenmore elite side by side refrigerator icemaker (model 106).
It was expensive because I took the long road to fixing the unit myself.

My problem: No water going up to the freezer water dispenser into the icemaker but the water in front of the door working just fine.

-first thing i tried was the simplest. The Internet is clogged with this miracle fix of using a hair dryer to melt the frozen water line going to the dispenser output. This is highly unlikely for our model since the water line is protected within the refrigerator frame.

-2nd thing I replaced my water filter (thinking that there wasn't enough water pressure to trigger the solenoid valve. $40, and still no luck.

-3rd thing was I tested for voltage going to the solenoid. No voltage going to solenoid, so I wasted $30 for a new solenoid.....still no water.

-4th thing was I ordered a new IR sensor and receiver (since the reciever end is where the relay that sends the voltage to the solenoid to turn on and allow water to go up to the dispenser).
My IR sender and receiver appeared to be working flakey.
Installed, still no water. $58 BUCKS ON EBAY (EVERYWHERE ELSE $100+)

-I finally removed the freezer front little white door, I TURNED OFF THE FREEZER SWITCH SO NO VOLTAGE WAS PRESENT, removed the release latch underneath the freezer unit and disconnected, and removed the freezer unit to inspect it further.
When I removed the protective white cover that covers the mechanical wheel, I had a few parts come flying out of it. Turns out that the wheel accessories were damaged. THERE ARE NO REPAIRABLE PARTS ON THE FREEZER UNIT. I FOUND ONE ON EBAY FOR $39 BUCKS + $9 SHIPPING! $48 BUCKS, SWAPPED THE HARNESS AND BOTTOM COVER, AND IN 20 MINUTES, I WAS BACK IN BUSINESS. STARTED MAKING ICE IN ABOUT A HALF HOUR!!!!!

when in doubt, replace the freezer unit for $48 bucks! 7 out of 10 times it will fix your problems. All techs replace the IR set at the same time too which will set you back another $58 bucks.
Good luck! ;)

SOURCE: Difference in waterline hookup between old and new icemakers

this is so often the case with some of the larger companeys. there are only two types of connections for these water lines. 1st is a compression fitting 1/4 inch 2nd is a push lock style also 1/4 inch. Both styles can be purchased at any large hardware store. they should be with pipe supplies. Hope this helps and good luck.

BACK OF THE FRIDGE IS THE WATER VALVE. UNPLUG THE OUTLET WATER OF THE VALVES, LEAVE THE INLET CONNECTED. APPLY 120 TO THE VALVE AND SEE IF WATER COMES OUT. MOST LIKELY YOU HAVE TWO VALVE, WATER AND ICE. IF THEY BOTH WORK, YOU HAVE A BAD MODULE IN THE ICEMAKER

Ice maker waterline frozen

Occasionally these freeze up on many brands. Usually if the ice maker is not used much. There is a rubber tube that deposits water into the ice maker unit, Thaw it by warming it with your fingers. You can carefully use a hair dryer as well

Ice maker not hooked up (on purpose). The ice

Sounds like you are not going to use the automatic icemaker, so I would remove the whole icemaker unit which will include disconnecting the wire harness behind the icemaker which will shut off power to the icemaker and will also give you more storage room in your freezer compartment. This will not harm the refrigerator or the icemaker, you could also disconnect the waterline if you want. Please note that this solution applies to the top freezer, and bottom freezer style refrigerators only thatt DO NOT have dispensers through the door. Good luck !

Ice maker and water dispensor not working on GE profile model 26...could it just be a frozen line?

yes.........unless the waterline from the house hookup ie--saddlevalve is plugged follow the waterline from where it hooksup turn to close all the way!!! then turn it back on see what that does for you because if the saddlevalve is hooked on the bottom of the waterline it could have gotten plugged over time

Kenmore Elite side-by-side refrigertor

depends on the problem.
1st what is the freezer temperature by the ice maker?
Is it filling with water?
Does the water freeze solid?
I fthe temp is below say 12'f and its filling with water a replacement kit of just the head of the icemaker should fix you up. Some kits though have instructions you need to read befroe proceeding., Some of the instructions may not be clear so read them where you buy the replacement and ask questions there as to what to look for.

If this helped you pleaese rate me as much as you can. If it did not help you please restate your question so I may give more detail to communicate to you better. Thank you and good luck.

Kenmore side by side refrigerator freezer not making ice

sorry if i sounded rude i just couldn't read the entire post it just trailed off...
if it not the water valve then it is either the ice-maker is bad or the waterline going to the ice-maker is frozen or clogged.
sometimes the water valve will slowly leak a small amount of water to the ice-maker and this will freeze in the large tube going to the ice-maker from the back of the refrigerator. this will block any more water from coming thru.
hope this helps
