i think its built in to the motherboard the outputs arnt on a seperate card in the slots.. ive gone through my computer looking for anything telling me what sound card it is, i really dont know.. i would of thought it is one that would be in all sony vaio PCV-RZ221 series machine. also headfones do not work either. i thought it would be a simple driver d/l from vaio but its difficult for me. i hope this is enough info. thanks

u can also try to install these drivers for a quick solution just extract all contents to a folder on desktop and then go to control panel go to system >device manager and then expand the list see for sound device if there is one that is not recognized and have exclamation mark right click take properties and update the driver from there select that folder on desktop when it asks u the drivers for update and it will do the rest , ok good luck for u and

pls do rate me if i fixed ur problem

My Sony VAIO VPCF133FX right speaker is not working what to do?

  • Open Sound Control panel and make sure sound is balanced in the middle
  • Check the sound driver and install any updated version from sony's site
  • If it still isn't working I'd say you will need to replace the speaker, could also be the connector may just need to be seated.

I have a sony vaio CS320J laptop. The issue is that the the camera doesnt work, also the bar that has the sound controls doesnt work at all, it doesnt light up or anything. Can you please assist? Thanks...

The camera issue sounds like a driver problem. The appropriate drivers can be found here. Make sure you download the right drivers for your operating system. After you install, you may need to restart your system for the changes to take effect.

I am unfamiliar with your music control bar, but I would recommend browsing the drivers section to see if there are any drivers for it as well. Other than that, I don't have any likely solutions for that problem, but I'm sure you will get it straightened out eventually.

I hope this helped you and feel free to respond if you have any further questions or run into any further problems.

Im having sony vaio VGN-NR32L and problem is that my laptop speaker is not working but headphones are working properely,i have reinstalled drivers but still not working.

since you have the drivers installed, go ahead and try a new set of speakers, if that doesnt' work then that means the motherboard is bad since they come out of the motherboard.

Make sure your volume control isn't muted and that its turned up to 100%. That at that point it will be the speakers to you have to try to make sure its not bad speakers. If that doesnt work then the motherboard isnt putting out sound and the motherrboard would have to be replaced.

HI Mansi
Have you installed the drivers properly? if yes see if you have checked the mute button in speaker volume. you can also have a check with the sound volume with the laptop buttons.

Applogies for whoever the idiot is on other sarcastic solution, as it rears it's ugly head every now and then. The problem won't be your speakers, but the sound or audio driver. if you post your pc or notebook details and operating system back here, I will try to point you in the right direction.
