Hey,

please use the windows installation disc or recovery media that came with the computer to reinstall or repair the windows installation.

after you have done so the computer will start up properly. Drivers will be required to be reinstalled I can get them for you ones you have reinstalled.

if you don't own a recovery cd or a windows installation cd I suggest you take the computer to someone who has the cd's or to a local professional who can do the reload for you.

or get your hands on a windows installation media.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Ekse

You always want to start your windows normally.
In my 10 years as a computer technician I have learned that you never use the startup repair option cause it will never help.

Launch start up repair

Im not sure if you are wanting to get to start-up repair or trying to get rid of it
If you want to access it, Boot system and do a hard nshut down. Restart, you will have the option to Launch start up repair or to start windows normally
If you are getting the option screen unwanted, this is primarily due to improper shutdown.
Whenever you shut down always try to use shutdown, restart options in taskbar.
If in the event you are stuck and need to do a hard shutdown try pressing Ctrl/Alt/del simultaneously
to access task manager.
Here you can end processes hung up or do a proper shutdown

My computer was frozen so I did a hard reboot and held the power button dow for 5 seconds when it came back on it gave me 2 options "start windows normal" or do a "repair start" recommended. Repair start...

next time please choose Start windows normal, because hp laptops starts to analyze every cylinder of your hard drive and that takes ages...please open setup/Bios at startup and reset the options to default and if you still have the problem try booting with a windows CD and use the repair option (attention: not the recovery console)

Acer crashed and coming up with 2 options and black screen

If its on a reinstall click repair the first time and it will take you to Recvovery Console and a command prompt and then type fixboot..
that will fix your boot record and you may not have to do a complete reinstall. If it does not work then start reinstall again and just install normally. Please rate this solution.

If you have the CD's that came with your notebook, there should be a recovery disk. Insert that disk and see if it solves the problem. If not, than I suggest you reinstall Windows and start from scratch.
