My emachine moniter keeps on displaying self check , check your pc and signal cable , moniter is working.

There is a problem with your video card / and or motherboard usually when you experience a problem like this.

Open the case, remove the video card from the motherboard, re-install it.

Let me know what happens and we'll go from there.

These issues can be resolved by testing step-by-step each possible cause.

Plug the computer's power cable firmly into a working AC outlet.
Press the computer's power button.
Check the LEDs on the front of the computer case to confirm that the computer receives power.
Plug the eMachines monitor's power cable into a working AC outlet.
Press the monitor's power button.
Check the LEDs on the front bezel or power button of the eMachines monitor to confirm that the monitor receives power.

Its probably the power supply..they tend to go quick on emachines.!Replace the Power supply.

My emachine computer was working then just stopped, when I tried to turn it back on. the moniter is showing no signal received. I have tried checking the VGA connection, changing it out for another, no...


Try your monitor on another machine - if it is working you have operating system/hard drive/motherboard/memory/heating problems. You must work that out if the monitor is good.

May be your moniter cable is not connected properly in CPU.
Plz check it out.
If you have connected properly in CPU then press F8 and go to VGA mode and check it.
Hope it'll work.

I think you're Emachine is just using the internal video output that came with it, better get this GeForce 7100 GS Video Card ..

The crazy blue box


crazy stuff here.. it might be the display or the harddrive check the pins on the display cable. how old is the PC? and have you added anything to the computer to damage the motherboard? I suggest doing a system recovery it might solve the promblem.
