Question about RCA Analog (RCA) to Digital (VGA) Converter for PC (displays TV image on PC) (AD01)

Open Question

VGA RCA connector

I have a vga rca connector and I'm trying to connect my first desktop I had, DELL OptiPlex GX150 to a SANYO Tv "Not LCD or Plasma" Just basic Tube type. and I don't get anything but the normal blue screen. The same screen set for my Nintendos or PlayStation2. I hooked it up to my Sony PSone's little LCD and I get a picture but its black with somewhat like white rain coming down the screen. Still no display. The seller told me all I have to do is just plug it in, No Drivers needed. To see what I have go to www.google.com images, type "vga rca connector" and its the very first image of what my VGA/RCA cable looks like. Yellow RCA, Purple S-Video, Blue VGA.

The Tv has "NO" AV ports only a Cable Jack witch my AV ports are run off the VCR. The Tv is a 30" I think and the only date I could find on the back of the Tv is SANYO 1994 Color Black. I plane to get a New 40" LCD Tv later but can't afford one right now. I went to bestbuy to check some and they come with AV Ports, S-Video and even a VGA Port NOW.

But right now I want to find out how to get it to work on my current Tv.

SOURCE: is i possible to connect a rca cable to the

DVD players can have several outputs:
* coaxiable cable
* composite video (RED/WHITE for stereo audio, and YELLOW for video)
* component video (RED/BLUE/GREEN to video components, plus RED/WHITE for stereo audio)
* HDMI

TVs can have several inputs:
* coaxiable cable
* composite video (RED/WHITE for stereo audio, and YELLOW for video)
* component video (RED/BLUE/GREEN to video components, plus RED/WHITE for stereo audio)
* HDMI

Just use the correct tables to "match" the output to the input.

What is MAxmedia tv for?

its a VGA to s-video/composite(rca) converter. it allow you to connect a computer to a tv with compatible inputs. Example would be to connect your laptop to a tv to show videos or pictures at a family gathering. you connect a VGA cable to the VGA output on the laptop(usually blue) connected to the MaxMedia TV II Plus, then from there you could connect a set of rca to the tv and view whatever the laptop sees on the tv screen with audio.

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Connect my gateway laptop to my phillips tv

It is very difficult to hook a laptop to a TV using the method you are trying. To get it to work go into your display settings (right click on desktop, go to properties, settings tab) and drag the slider bar all the way to the left (to the lowest possible setting, the numbers should get smaller as you slide it). Then try again. Currently the resolution is not compatible with your TV.

Ive just bought a TV to PC(VGA TO TV Converter), ive connected everything and i can see my laptop screen on the TV monitor but there is no sound

I dont think the unit is designed to use sound, it just converts vga to tv, you may have to use a 3.5 to rca phono audio cable to go from the laptop to an audio device, or an imput on your tv

KWorld PC to TV Converter

I had the same problem. It turned out the issue was that I had the VGA Y-cable connectors between the PC and the KWorld box reversed. They look like they should be interchangeable, but they are not. A closer look at the cable connectors shows that one is marked "PC", one is marked "Monitor", and the 3rd is marked "SCAN CNVTR". Once I got them plugged into the right places, I got the screen image on the TV.
