Lg thrill wont charge

Date: May 16, 2014

I have an LG Thrill 4G. My phone just went thru an issue where it wouldn't charge past 4%. Sometimes, it wouldn't go past 2%, so I had to leave it on the charger ALL the time - or risk it dying, completely.

For days, the only services shown on my battery usage were:
Cell Standby: 33%
Bluetooth: 33%
Phone Idle: 32%
Display: 2%

I replaced the battery with a brand new one - NOTHING changed. Battery still sat around 2-4% for the entire day, while on the charger. So, I started uninstalling apps like crazy - just to see what would happen.

NOTHING. Same thing.

So, I decided to at least install the Facebook app back...and the upgraded version had to be installed - so I did it.

VOILA!!! My phone instantly started charging ...8%...14%...24%...52%...80%...91%...all over a period of about an hour. Just a constant charge going up a few percentage points every few minutes...

...and all of a sudden, started going back down pretty rapidly when it hit 92%. Within maybe 3mins, the charge went from 92% to 78% - and I wasn't using the phone. I was just watching the meter drop 2 percentage points over a period of a few seconds, each time. I decided to quickly turn the phone off at 78% but left it on the charger.

After roughly 5mins, I turned the phone back on, just to see what the charge would be sitting at. WOULDN'T YA KNOW - 3%.

How can battery life go from 78% to 3% - while it's OFF - within a 5min span??? Therefore, my question is: was it really charged to 78% when I turned the phone off? Or was the battery meter being "tricked" by some app that might be installed?

The first battery it did this to was the 1500mah. Used that battery for like 3 days of this before I replaced it. The battery the scenario above JUST happened to is my new 3500mah battery, and it's been giving this 3500mah battery the 3% capacity for a whole day and a half now...

I HAVE A OLDER LG SILVER IN COLOR SORTA SHAPED LIKE A COMPUER MOUSE, IT WON'T CHARGE..HELP ME PLEASE

Older LG phones use a universal charger that looks like a silver medal tube. They are very susceptible to breakage by bumping. This is probably what happened to yours. Unfortunately, the only fix is to have it repaired or replaced in store.

If this was helpful, please rank me a 4.

There are two things you have tto check. 1. Your charger is perfect-check and replace it. And secondly, don't keep continuing in charging after you get indication of charging completed, remove charger.

Dear sir,iam very thankful 2 u for listening 2 my problem, actually mine is a dual sim phone(model c6112),iam facing the problem that it's time settings r not proper, either the phone looses time or it gains...

These new kind of phones unfortunately don't have very good battery life. I have a nokia n86 8mp and im lucky if it lasts a day. This is one thing that annoys me but there is nothing you can do unless you get another battery and charge them both up. or a portable charger. As for your time issue it could be the screen not updating as its on power saver other than this im not so sure. Hope this helped you.

Hi! I have a problem with my Nokia 7370 : the screen is blank and nothing is happening. I tried switching it off, then on again, but no luck, I have nothing but a blank screen. Even when I plug the battery...

can u hear any sound like nokia tune which comes when u turn on your mobile? It could be because your display is damaged or not working so please visit nokia showroom and they will help you.

There can be several things which can be reason for blank screen like:
1. Your display is not working
2. Battery of mobile is not working.
3. May your mobile is not charged and charger which you are using is not working. Try charging with some other charger of nokia same pin.
4. It could be software issue. Please update software in your mobile.

60% it could be a display issue.

Iam useing sony ericsson w850i for past 1 year.suddenly one day it was switched off if i seem to turn on it is flashing the red light.and now iam not useing that phone any ideas to turn on my phone back.

Hello,

from my own experience and idea, I think that flashing light indicates low battery.

This is usually common with Sony ericsson phone, it flashes a red light once battery is low and you want to power is on.

Maybe should test your phone with another battery.

All the best.

sounds like you either have bad contacts from the battery to phone or you have a bad charger connection port on the phone or simply a defective battery try buying a new battery on line i have seen them as low as 20 dollars

Nokia 3250 charging problem

it sounds like a problem with the charging port (where you actually plug the charger into your phone). unfortunately, you may have to replace the phone, as switching batteries or chargers wont solve the problem.
