I just bought the same printer with you and it seems to be no problem. Try to reinstall the software again and follow exactly the instruction given. Actually there is nothing wrong with the alignment. Anyway if wont work then you to contact the support person for solution. Thanks

The Lexmark x5495 printer is not printing correctly. The printout is not aligned properly. The printout is crooked. How can you solve this problem?

Try to re-seat your cartridges and make sure they are properly inserted in the cartridge carrier.
If that doesn't help, please do the Align Cartridges function on your printer. From the printer operator panel, while on Copy mode, press the Menu button > Tools > Maintenance > Align Cartridges. You printer will then print a test page that will help align the cartridges.
After the page is printed, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed. Thanks.

Lexmark x5495 not feeding paper

There could be something that's blocking the paper path. Try this approach to fix the problem:
  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects inside the feeder - try to use a flashlight to look into the paper feeder.
  2. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Check the cartridge area and make sure there are no foreign objects blocking the paper path and the cartridge carrier path. Close the printer.
  3. Re-brick your printer. Remove the power adapter from the printer (it's the black box found behind the printer where the power cord is plugged into). Re-plug the power adapter after 30 seconds. That should give enough time for the printer to reset itself.
  4. When the printer turns on, re-insert the cartridges and load some paper.
  5. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
Should the problem continue, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional assistance.

I bought a lexmark s305 all in one impact printer and I have a net book laptop windows 7 starter and when I connected the USB CABAL to my laptop from my printer it installs everything correctly apart from...

Something is definitely wrong here. Unplug your printer from your computer. Then follow the steps in this article: How to Replace the Printhead from a S300, S400, S500, S600, Pro200, Pro700, Pro800, or Pro900 Series All-In-One to a New Machine. After removing the printhead, unplug the printer from the power outlet. Wait at least 10 seconds before replugging to the power outlet. This will give enough time for the printer to reset itself. When the printer turns on, follow the steps on its display screen on how to reinstall the printhead. Make sure the printhead and the cartridges are properly inserted.
If problem continues with the alignment, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

Printer keeps saying alignment, load paper and press tick will not print anything off ?

It could be the cartridges are not seated properly in carrier. Try to remove any paper from the paper feed tray. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Then unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Try to print again.

Try removing the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Remove the sheets of paper. Unplug the printer from the power source. Replug after 30 seconds. When the printer's ready, reload the cartridges. Load some paper, don't overload. Try printing again. If problem continues, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate the problem. You may be having a hardware problem.

Carriage swings from one side to other

Remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug the printer from the power source. Wait for about 10-15 seconds before plugging it back in. Once the printer's ready, re-insert the cartridges. Close the cover. It should try to print an alignment page. Let it print the page all the way through without cancelling it. If carrier is not slamming to the sides anymore, problem's resolved. But, when after re-inserting the cartridges and the printer tries to print the alignment and still slamming the carrier to the sides, that sounds more like a mechanical problem and needs to be replaced. If your printer is still within warranty, you can call Lexmark. They might send you a replacement. Good luck!

Lexmark X5495 - useless

I've had a problem like this before too, it's was down to two things which might be the same for you!
1) Is your printer plugged into a Power Surge Protector? if so then remove it from that and plug it into a normal plug, the surge protector sometimes doesn't allow the correct amount of power to reach the printer which causes an issue.
2) Your paper feed rollers, I had to clean mine with white spirt to remove the paper dust from the rollers, once done feeds paper everytime since!

If this has helped you then please rate me!

Alignment error after replacing black ink. Lexmark X5495

I found a pencil inside my printer and took it out. It was not easy but now it does not jams the paper. Disconnect the power cord and softly shake the printer from side to side making sure you are holding on to the top scanner door so it won't flip open and listen for anything rolling or loose inside. It just might be your problem.

When you try refilling your ink cartridges, you are taking chances that something may go wrong. I would search the web and purchase re-manufactured ink cartridges, which would be less expensive than the new ones from Lexmark.
