I think you want a 3-way timer?
Either switch or timer can control light

Here is illustration what I think you have wired, with link to 3-way timers.

My badger 5- 1/2 hp it wont spin the reset dose not work i unplug it that dose not work. sometomes it makes noise and sometimes it dosent but it will not spin at all thanks

If disposal makes sound, then electricity is good. Check that the switch is good and that circuit breaker is not loose and shorted.
Use wood broomstick down into sink opening, or use allen wrench on bottom of disposal, and move cutter disc until it rotates freely. The try disposal switch again.
If disc moves freely but disposal will not operate, then you need new disposal.

How do I remove and/or insert wires into Leviton Decora switch interruptor model 5601. Back of switch says "push to release" with arrow pointing to small square hole. What do I push to release...

Hi Ray,
Take a small screwdriver and push into the hole just far enough to release the wires. Your pushing down an inclined pinch tab that is copper and locks the wire to the side of the switch housing along with making the electrical connection. So push in gently with small screwdriver or push another solid piece of wire into the release hole to unlock the wires. It isn't that hard to do. Sometimes you may actually have to slightly push in the old wire to unlatch the locking pinch tab while also pushing in the release tab. .
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

All of a sudden our garage door stopped working and the light flashes 10 times. Liftmaster Model 2265 1/2HP. Any ideas?

We just had the same problem this morning (cold weather can mess these things up). Not sure what you mean by "not working". Ours would open part-way and then stop (or close part-way and then stop), but could open/close all the way if we held the button on the wall down the entire time it was lifting. After much research online, we ended up checking the sensors at the bottom of the garage door tracks to make sure that the green light was solid (not flashing). Ours flashed a bit, so we cleaned the "eye" and tightened it in place. Once the green was solid, we thought we were done, but still had the problem.

Then we began adjusting the screws on the unit itself that show pictures of the door opening and closing. We thought we were adjusting the torque in the unit (because we read online that cold weather can make it more difficult for the motor to work), but in reality we were adjusting the opening and closing "distance". Apparently cold weather can also do something to the tracks, which can require adjustments to be made. Something to do with ground swelling...

Anyway, we also discovered that when we had closed the door manually (red pull-cord) the night before for lack of a better solution, it never properly locked back into position, which was adding to the problem.

So, first, try cleaning the sensors. You need a solid green light for them to function properly. Second, if you have used the manual cord, make sure the arm that it attaches to is locked back into position. You can accomplish this by pulling the manual cord, manually closing the garage, and then pushing the button on the wall. The door arm should lock into place. Third, try using a screwdriver to adjust the open/close distance. Start with a 1/4 turn for each position, and play with it until you find the right setting.

If these suggestions don't address your problem, this link worked for us...http://forum.doityourself.com/doors-windows/368278-garage-door-wont-go-down-cold-weather.html

Window metal bar in the side

That is called a sash window channel balance. It has a spring that is pre loaded and needs to catch on a clip on either side of the window. Just put the bars on both sides, place the window back into portion and flip the clips back in.

The door wont close.

Assuming you have an electric eye across the door, one side may have gotten moved so that they no longer 'see' each other. There is usually an indicator light on on side that will light up (usually red or green) when the eyes 'see' each other. If they are not 'seeing' each other then they make you go into override mode which requires the button to be held down.

Try re-aligning and see if that helps

Garage door won't stay closed

Check the down limit:
If the light bulb(s) on your operator are on the front and/or back, the limit adjustment screw is on the left side of the operator (looking from the back of the operator and facing  the garage door).. If the lights are on the sides of the operator then the limit adjustment screw is on the left side (looking from the back of the operator and facing  the garage door)
