Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook

Screen Contrast localwonder wrote + <→> Contrast up Increases the screen Contrast + <←> Contrast down Decreases the screen Contrast. What do I press after the +? I tried the fn key at the bottom along with the + key and hit the < and > keys with no result. Should I use one of the function keys? f5 and f7 change the screen but I don't know which one is the contrast.

I tried holding the blue fn key and pressing the up (to) arrow and the down (bottom) arrow and I cannot see any change in the screen at all. If I hold the fn key and use the right and left arrows it makes the screen lighter and darker. I thought that was the brightness, which I think is different than contrast. I still can't calibrate my screen with Adobe Gamma.

On, your keyboard, there is the FN key in blue. hold it and go over to the four arrows pointing. up,down, left and right. the top and bottom arrows is what you use to change your comeputer's contrast.

Rubbish! That's the brightness, not the contrast.

I have a set Motorola Canopy 2400BH but i forgot ip address and username and password, how can i access it for using.

You need to user an Override Plug, which can be fabricated this way:

To fabricate an override plug: 1. Install an RJ-11 6-pin connector onto a 6-inch length of CAT 5 cable. 2. Pin out all 6-pins. 3. Short (solder together) Pins 4 and 6 on the other end. Do not connect any other wires to anything. The result should be as follows: Pin 1 ? white / orange ? Pin 1 Pin 2 ? white / green ? Pin 2 Pin 3 ? white / blue ? Pin 3 Pin 4 ? green ? Pin 6 Pin 5 ? blue ? Pin 5
Regaining access to the module To use the override plug 1. Insert the override plug into the RJ-11 GPS sync port of the AP. 2. Apply power to the module through the Ethernet cable. RESULT: The module reboots with the default IP address of 169.254.1.1, password fields blank, and all other configuration values as previously set. 3. Set passwords as desired. 4. Change configuration values if desired. 5. Save the settings. 6. Remove the override plug. 7. Power cycle the module.

Is there any way to brighten my screen on my acer aspire 5601 lap top

Examine the keyboard. There should be a symbol on most of the function keys (F1, F2, etc.). Look for one that looks like a sun or lightbulb, either with an arrow pointing up or with the sun/lighbulb filled in. Hold the 'Fn' key, and tap the up/bright sun/lightbulb key a few times. The screen should increase in brightness.

If you cannot find the specified keys, you may be able to adjust brightness from inside Windows. Right click on the battery icon in the taskbar and open 'power options'. Look for a sun and moon with a sliding bar between them. You might also be able to adjust brightness by customizing your desktop (right click on the desktop and look for the proper menu).

I have model 0155671 but it doesnt look like the model online mine has four buttons across set time plus minus next riw is rnd ctd bottom is manual i dont understand when it says select 12 or 24...

A) 12-24 hour choice >> just use the 24 hour display.
That gives you day and night hours
I don't know why these companies offer 12hr-24hr option on timers.

B) Military time vs Regular time (military time does not use am and pm)
1 1am
2 2am
7 7am
11 11am
12 12noon
13 1pm
14 2pm
20 8pm
23 11pm
24 12midnight

C) Utilitec 0155671 is same as Woods 59377
Before Woods made 59377, they made 49566 (which is also called TD1101 and TD1300)

I think you have Woods 49566

Faint screen image

when you first power on using lower right (power) button, wait 6 seconds for the intro screen to finish. The upper left (up) button increases screen contrast. Hold this one down for a few seconds and the screen should darken. The middle left (down) button decreases contrast.

If this doesn't work, try turning off by holding the power button.
Hold down upper left AND upper right while turning unit on. This initiates diagnostic mode and contrast is darker by default. Bottom of screen is a button test area which darkens a symbol for each successful button press. Use it to diagnose a button problem. Turn off power and on again to leave diagnostic mode.

I wish you success playing with the Etrex.
