It appears your motor/motor controller has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Washer will not Agitate?

Had to send mine to repair for the same issue. They claimed a computer was malfunctioning. There was also an interlock that kept the agitator from engaging. Cost was nil for me because it was under warranty.

LXR7244PQ0 whirlpool top load washer. Problem: Agitator spins when manually turned, wash fills, does not agitate, spin, or drain. I checked lid switch, couplers and rubber piece is fine on motor I have...

Sounds like the motor coupling is bad- it keep the motor and transmission safe when overloaded and its cheap, if the motor is making noise that's the place I'd start. After that it's the motor (make sure it has power when it should) or the transmission- both not cheap.

Replaced the belt and still not agitating, switch seems good

If the machine fills, won't agitate, wont drain or spin, then you need to replace the lid switch.

+whirlpool LSQ8243HQ0 water valve works. wont wash or spin. new motor coupling and timer.

Under the agitator you have what is called (agitating dogs). The agitator will have to be removed. The top should spin off, you will be able to look down into the agitator and see a bolt. Remove this bolt and the agitator can be pulled out. The agitators are small pieces of plastic with small teeth. These teeth get worn out over time or if the washer is overloaded. When the agitator free spins one way the teeth grab a (gear) on agitator and this is how you get the washing action (agitating). These dogs are easy to replace and cost about $5. Wahing machine will not wash

the entire agitator is not moving during the wash??? or just the top section that looks like a big plastic corkscrew???
or is the unit actually just filling with water, making the motor running noises and going thru the motions of running a cycle yet not actually moving anything within the unit, then draining out as normal??
if just the top section of the agitator is free spinning instead of ratcheting as normal you'll need to replace the agitator dogs if present.
if however the units just filling and draining of water with no inner movement then more likely the drive coupling is bad and needs replacement..
hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Not sure if manifold is leaking

Leaks water...check the pump first. The fill valve and hoses may be the next step. See how to take apart info. With the use of plastic drain hoses on many machines today, this has become a common leak trouble maker. The drain hose can rub the wall or a pipe and this will rub a hole in the drain hose.

Roper model ras8445kq0

If the agitator does not spin at all, then it is your motor coupling. If the agitator tries to spin but cannot, then it is your dog agitators.
