If you have a card reader, install the card and use "My Computer" to select that drive and "Format". Otherwise sometimes the device you are using the card in will have that option in it's settings.

The password is a user created password. Same as you would password a drive. Without access to the card due to not having the password their is no was to get to the password list file hidden on the card. Your choice remain to keep trying passwords until you remember the correct one, or reformat the card and not put a password on it which you will lose all of your data unfortunatly.

I made partition in my Kingston 4 GB USB and one of the partition is not opening. I want to delete partitions to get my 4 GB capacity back.

Probably best to copy all files off and reformat it.
It would have made more sense to use folders and not partitions.
You may not be able delete the partition if you cant open it.
Does it show up in disk manager?

My 2 GB Kingston memory card is locked. how to open it?

You'll need to reformat the card in order to reset the flash memory.

This is fairly simple to do. Simply insert the card into your card slot and go into My Computer (or just Computer in your start menu, if you're using Windows Vista or 7).

Next, right click on the icon that represents your card (this will be easily recognizable by looking at the capacity of the drive, it should be around 1.6-1.8 GB) and select "Format...". Format your drive using the recommended settings (usually FAT32, Quick Format) and you should be able to access it.

You need to key in the password in order to gain access to your flash drive. If you forgot it, then reformat your drive.
