Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
BN44-00341B - will be the number of power supply board used with this TV. Check it. If so, visit the site linked here to see its circuit diagram. Try to follow it, and do a repair work, or replace it.
Good luck

Red light turns on, But not television

Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. It maybe something simple like a blown fuse inside the TV. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptoms.

You have a few choices:

1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 - 45 minutes so the TV can discharge and reset itself.
2. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.

3. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, schematics, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15 by searchingon the internet with the part number.

4. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Hi, I have a sharp 46d92u that doesn't power on at all, I'm guessing the main power board but it leaves me unsure a little when I hear the relays click when I plug it in, any ideas??

Most problems with TV not turing ON is a power supply related problem. The relay click are a normal process that powers up the circuit boards. Right now the TV is most likely in " Protection Mode ". The TV detected a bad circuit board and it will prevent the TV from fully turning ON. This keeps the other circuit board from being damaged.
The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.

If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet. This will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, red light blinking codes, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

I had the same problem - found the specific problem on forum boards. Fixed it myself for less than $20 with no electronics experience. Samsung installed bad capacitors...undervoltage for the LCDs from 2005-2007 (some models).  You can replace the capacitors yourself...go to http://www.tech-report.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=67237  or  http://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=62360  for instructions.  Good luck!
