> If you have a windows system you might try using "MS PAINT" its a windows based application.
Click on Start / All Programs / Accessories., and look for "Paint" ( click on it ) on the Paint Window click on File and then click on From Scanner or Camera., just follow the step by step instructions how to acquire / scan an image/doc's from your scanner. ( in some cases it will ask you which scanner to use if you have multiple imaging devices connected t your computer )
note :> if the "From Scanner or Camera" is graded out ( your scanner is not detected by your computer or it needs a twain driver to be recognized by your computer )
I got it to scan. I found this by the grace of God. I have the same problem with the print cartridges. But I was attemting to get into my camera. I went to the 'My computer' Icon on Windows XP. Under that part of the file system, I have the "HP PSC 1600 series" icon under the scanners and printers. I double clicked this, and it allowed me to scan an image.
After I installed the print/fax/scanner drivers on my computer, Paint automatically configured itself to recognize the scanner. Other image programs I had to manually configure the TWAIN source before I could import from the scanner.
