If your right convenience is set to camera then go in to your options and set the right convienence key to nothing. Try to put the device in standby mode or set the key guard when not in use.

I have a dell dimension 8100. I am wondering if the motherboard is bad or the video card. All monitors that I hook the computer up to are very dark and the blue hue seems to be very pronounced.

Hello
If this system has a video card its probably bad.
You may want to try a differnet monitor cable before spending alot of money.
If this motherboard has onboard video, take out the vid card and try the onboard video.

BlackBerry Pearl 8100: My Blackberry curve isn't receiving any SMS messag...

I'd suggest backing up your contacts and other info and then doing a wipe on the phone. To do a wipe to go to...

Options -> Security Options-> General Settings -> click the menu key and you will see the option for wipe.

If that doesn't work I'd do an OS update on the phone.

Why does the phone keep erasing my texts and call log?

The blackberry 8100 has a system built it that erases non-essential items in the phone when available memory becomes too low. To keep this from happening make sure you erase all old emails and text messages and save all of your pictures to a memory card.

RIM Blackberry Pearl Can't hear incoming/outgoing calls

After receiving a message with sound, push the button on the side that activates voice dialing. It sometimes takes activating it twice, but it will turn the sound back on.

Blackberry pearl 8100 wont let me email pics

Assuming you have an 8100 pearl I believe for some reason this phone does not do mms. either that or the following is true.

With certain wireless providers a BB data plan may be required for MMS to function. For example, T-Mobile has a $0.00 feature that can be added to a persons account to enable MMS (which is included in messaging packages) without enabling full data capabilities. I believe Alltel offers a similiar feature. Contrastingly, ATT BB's cannot send or receive MMS without the $30, minimum, BB data feature being on the account. I'm waiting for a class action suit against ATT for taking subscribers money for messaging packages, that include picture messaging, but not providing all of the services being paid for by some PDA phone users.

Picture messaging allows the user to send and receive photos to and from their contacts.
Important: The Instant Messenger recipient must be online to send the picture.
To send pictures from your BlackBerry smartphone camera using <Instant Messenger>, complete the following steps:
  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone, preview a picture.
  2. Display the menu and select the Instant Messenger you want to use to send the picture.
  3. Complete the onscreen instructions.
To send a picture from within an Instant Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones application session, complete the following steps:
  1. Within the Instant Messenger session, display the menu and select Send Media. The Which Type dialog appears.
  2. Click Picture. The Pictures folder opens.
  3. Select the picture you want to send. A request is sent to the recipient indicating you sent a file and an option to Accept or Decline the file.
    • If the recipient clicks Accept, the Save File dialog opens. The recipient saves the file on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    • If the recipient clicks Decline, The sender receives a message indication the file transfer was declined.

The BlackBerry smartphone user is unable to send a picture as an email message from the Media application of the BlackBerry smartphone. The Send option is not present on the menu when the email message is sent using an email account that is associated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Although the current BlackBerry Internet Service supports large attachments or attachments that are in their native format, BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 does not.
A BlackBerry smartphone that is provisioned with the current BlackBerry Internet Service uses it as the default method for sending pictures from the camera. As a result, when attempting to send a picture attachment from an email account that is associated with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the Send option will be missing from the menu as the image is in native format and size.

Upgrade the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to software version 4.1 Service Pack 2 or later, since support for large attachments or attachments that are in their native format has been introduced in that version.

Follow the steps below to send the picture attachment from the Messages application on the BlackBerry smartphone:
  1. Select Messages on the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Select the Compose Email option from the menu.
  4. In the To field, enter the contact address where the email message is to be sent.
  5. Press the Menu key again.
  6. Select the Attach File option from the menu.
  7. Browse to and select the picture to be attached to the email message.
  8. Send the email message.
