Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

1 Answer

Re-boot problem When I try to power up by presario v6000 lap top it will not boot. All lights are lit but the screen is black. The hard dirve "clicks" once and the light for it goes out. Then the power and all lights shut off and then come back on. This happens continuously.

Black screen v6000 laptop "HELP Please"

It appears the hard disk has been wiped/formatted and does not have an operating system installed.
You need to get a Windows Vista installation CD and if the Windows label on the bottom of the laptop is still attached then this label has the product installation code.
Boot up with the Windows Vista installation CD to install the Vista operating software then you need to install the Presario device drivers.

You can download the device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windows drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

My laptop won't open, i pushed the power button and then the screen is plain black, but the power button is lit on, the wifi is lit on and the other lights are blinking

If the HP laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes the the problem could be a back light fault. this can be caused be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link to determine the fault and fix :-

Media test failure; check cable

it seems like a hard drive failure or the hard dirve not seated well. I'm assuming this caz you cannot boot up. Try reseating the hard drive and try again, If still not working, try and listen for any clicking noise from the hard dirve.
