Hi im josh in cebu phils. Friend sad to say it should not be cleaned with vinegar coz it will damage the micro-fibers on it. Just use a soft dry clean cloth or a paper soft paper like union skin paper or it can be newspaper with glass cleaner.only for now all you have to do is dry it with dry cloth with a little amount of powder just a little. good luck

I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done; the vinegar has eaten the protective coating on the screen. The only solution is to replace the screen.

Is there a process known to man that cleans windex streaks off an lcd screen?

How to Clean an LCD Screen
So, first of all, let's decide what we don't use to clean it:
Anything containing bleach or ammonia, such as Windex. That will react with the plastic and make the plastic screen become cloudy and discolored.
Anything sharp, pointy or abrasive.
Your easiest choice is one of those LCD cleaning solutions they sell in places where they sell computers. But they're expensive, and why bother when you can make your own solution for next to nothing?

What you'll need:
Distilled water (available at your supermarket; tap water leaves streaks and minerals).
White vinegar (you may substitute isopropyl alcohol; either way, make sure these substances are diluted before they come near your screen).
A clean, soft cloth (never use any kind of paper product).
A spray bottle.

Directions:
In the spray bottle, mix the distilled water and alcohol/vinegar, in a 1:1 ratio.
Turn off the LCD display.
Spray the mixture onto the cloth, never directly onto the screen.
Wipe gently - oh, so gently - from top to bottom. Do it horizontally, too, if you think that leaves a cleaner result.
Let the screen dry before turning it back on.

Hands Off!
Fingers leave dirt and oil smudges that must be cleaned off. Also, every time you touch the screen you risk doing damage to those tiny creatures inside that hold the colored flashlights. Keep your fingers to yourself.

Laptop or Monitor Cleaning

LCD and plasma screens have a anti-glare coating or anti-reflective coating. This is so any bright light doesn't reflect and wash out the picture. It does help but it also makes cleaning the screen a bit of a problem.

As this is a coating on glass it is actually possible to clean t off by using the wrong cleaner. There are great glass cleaners out there but most are chemically based and too aggressive. In other words they attack the coating.

So what do you use? Paper towels, a drop of dish washing or liquid soap and water. And you need to use a bit of a technique or you will see smears or smudges on the screen.

You need to get two sheets of paper towels. One is your dry wipe. Wet one with water. Then add a drop of liquid soap or detergent. Give it a couple of gentle squeezes to distribute the soap. Then give it a bit harder one to get rid of excess water. Depending on the coating you may want a second piece that has only water and just damp not wet.

Now we clean the screen. First take the soapy towel and wipe down the screen getting it wet. You don't want running water just enough to wet the screen. If you have the soap right you will just see the odd bubble. Once you have the screen wet, wait about 30 seconds and now scrub it using the soapy towel with a circular motion. If there is anything on the screen it should come off. If something is stubborn just keep scrubbing it or use a fingernail to scratch it off and wipe with the soapy after.

Now we need to get the soap off. If the screen dries and has streaks you may need to use the wet un-soaped towel to wipe/rinse of the soap before drying. To dry the screen we want to use the dry towel and use large circular motions. Go over it once and turn it over so the dry side is being used. Keep using those big round motions and at the same time ease up of how hard you push the towel. The idea is to have little pressure on the towel as you finish. That's the trick to getting it streak free.

This takes a minute to do but lets you safely clean your display without damaging the coatings. It also works on any glass surface.

I cleaned the projector screen but it is leaving a water mark what do I do

You may have damaged the screen if whatever you cleaned with has chemicals---most screens have a protective anti glare coat that is easily damaged----If a streak is there it is likely this is what happened.

How can i get streak free windows

Clean them better. I know you'r going to say "are you nuts?" Most of the time when cleaning our windows in the truck or car we spray on some cleaner, (Windex) and wipe it away. Then the next time the sun or oncoming traffic with there lights on shines through ... well streaks everywhere. How Come?

We don't clean them enough or correctly. When we travel we get all kinds of grease on our windows from everything we pass through from exhaust fumes from cars and diesel trucks, manufacturing oil is in the air everywhere especially around restaurants. They exhaust it all from their grill fans while we are inside enjoying a meal and all the solids from inside settle on our vehicles windows.

When we clean it we just smear it around and leave residue all over the window. It looks clean when we wash the car but when we see the window from behind the steering wheel with lights shining through STREAKS!!! If you smoke, even with the windows open you are putting the same tar that you inhale on your windows every time you exhale. And: the inside is just as app to be the streaking culprit.

This has proven successful for me and I never have streaks. I wash the car as normal and
"Windex" the windows inside and out. Then I start over with newspaper and a solution of vinegar and water.

I had to help my family do windows when i was young and my mother forced us to clean the windows with newspaper and a vinegar solution. I knew better as I got older and just used the new fangled spray bottles of "Windex" ...yeah I always had streaks. So I went back to the old standard. I now use a spray bottle with nothing but vinegar and water both inside and out and I never have streaks. I know it's a pain to do the same job twice but it works . The vinigar breaks down the residual grease and contaminates on your window and the newspaper acts as a cutting abrasive that won't scratch your glass. I don't use paper towels because it leaves lint all over the inside.

By the way as soon as you get your windows clean and streak free it will rain.

Falt Panel Screen Cleaning

If you are trying to clean a LCD or Plasma screen, use only recommended screen cleaners. Be very careful not to rub too hard or contrast coating may wear off screen. Do a small area first then dry and continue this procedure. Less streaks that way. Use very soft lint free cloths. You can use slightly warm water and very lightly dampen a cloth and clean as above.

Caution:

Never spray or put liquid directly on screens

I get dirty streaks on cloths during the wash cycle.

Hi,

It's a common problem with modern machines.
Due the modern way of washing on low temperatures some dirt will stick into the machine's.
You can try to wash some old stuff several times on a high temperature and instead of using washingpowder you have to use a handfull of soda.
It will clean the inside. Worked fine overhere.

Good luck,
Gerard

My front load kenmore leaves faint dark streaks in

look carefully inside the tub, gasket, lid. There may be some debris of some sort stuck somewhere causing this problem.

Then run the machine adding only two cups of vinegar. this will clean it.
