Question about Honeywell 5804 Ademco Wireless Security watch
I bought a Vista 20 alarm system with a 6160 keypad. I'm trying to program some of it before I install it.
I would like to program one of the A B C D function keys to do the armed with instant setting. So my wife won't have to do the code + instant when we are home. Can that be done? I looked at the manual and don't see that option. I already set the A function key to "Away". I wanted to set the B function key to "Night Stay with Instant"
Is this possible?
You need installer programming manuel.Yes to stay instant.

Page 57 (in this PDF) http://www.alarmeengros.com/installation15P.pdf
Section 8-1 in the user manual...
Get into programming, if you don't know the code, completely power down the system, then power back up and press * & # at the same time when the keypad displays "d1" and that will get you in.
When in programming keypad will display "20"
Press *57, then the desired function key, then *, then 1, then *, then 05, then *, then 0 (to exit), then *, then wait a few seconds and press *99 to exit programming...
the desired function key will be set as "Night Stay"
I highly recommend printing page 57 of the PDF and this tutorial to guide you through the process...

It is located inside a tan colored metal box 12"wide by 15" tall and 4" deep; unless it is flush mounted, then only .5" deep. inside you will most likely find a 12 volt 4 or 5 or 7 amp hour battery. Note; the door may have a lock on it. I have found the key on top of the box, in the lock, and unlocked. The box could be located anywhere but, many times in closets, utility rooms, garages, crawl spaces, etc.
