Try opening the front cartridge panel, and, with the panel open, press the cancel button until all the lights start cycling up and down. While this is happening, close the front panel, then press the continue button. This should reset the error lights and you should be ready to print.

That means ATTENTION, you are either out of toner or have a paper jam.

The Toner light flashes, it will not print .

Have you replaced the toner? By your post, it doesn't sound like it. Toner only lasts so long, it does run out, and then it's time to replace the cartridge. You can probably buy one from where ever you bought the printer, otherwise, Amazon.com is always a good place to buy things.

All 3 Error lights are flashing (4 if you count the GO button)!!

When all lights flash it's a service problem. You press and hold the go button and see what lights are on then.error light means main PCB failure, Toner light means fuser failure, drum light means laser failure. Toner and error light means main motor error, drum plus error light means its a fan failure.

Flashing amber warning light

Hello,

The problem is that the MICR Toner Wire was placed into the wrong jumper position on the TROY Font Card. By moving it to the other jumper, this should clear your 'Invalid Toner Sense State' Error. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact me at 800-633-2266 x 218 or vial email to bmcmillen@troygroup.com.

Regards,

Brian

New toners and drums, but flashing amber error light - won't print now

Have you replaced the printer drums? The status monitor will tell you what percent they are at (similar to the toner cartridge status). This fixed my problem before.

Dell printer 1700

First unplug power cord and plug back after 10 mins.
If problem persists, then it is probably a toner error, if the toner is nearly finished. In this case you will see the led flashing only when is printing. Sooner or later the printer will start printing blank or faded pages and you will need to change toner
When is not toner, with same symptoms as above, it can be drum error, in this case printer will keep printing but shows flashing light, at a certain point you will need to change drum kit.

If light flashes and printer does not print, then it is either paper jam inside, or one of errors above at final stage, or one of the door not well closed (check them all), or printer faulty (fuser, heads mechanics etc.), in this last case call service.
