Question about ViewSonic VX2235WM Monitor
I would recommend the folloiwng to rule out monitor fault
Please try your monitor on another PC if this works then you have VGA card/drivers issue on your current PC, if this fails on another PC then the monitor is faulty
Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Some Laptops or PCs will only work with a 2nd Screen or monitor option on LCD, :Projectors or TV screens.
On Display/.settings/ on PC you can select 2nd monitor option and apply.
U should see your LCD screen flicker and displays your PC 2nd screen

SOURCE: Hi , I own a viewsonic
The audiosystem of the monitor has nothing to do with drivers. It is just separate system, like active desktop computer speakers, built into the monitor. Try to find the volume control on the monitor and loud it up. Check the audio controls in the computer - to be in middle positions, not muted. Try to connect headphones to the same computer audio out to check if it works. Try to connect an MP3 player to the audio cable of the monitor to check its speakers.
If you have increased the volume of the monitor, hear the sound trough the headphones but still nothing on the speakers, the monitor have to be opened and fixed.
