Whirlpool cabrio model wtw6200swz, desplays fault code f50

Starts to fill and sence weight of clothes than fault code F 50 will appear in place of the minutes left.

Make sure the basket is "free" floating. F50 is a stalled motor read. This really neds to be serviced by a technician.

My Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6400SW2 has a F50 error. I


The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.

If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.

I have a f50 fault code on my cabrio washer it won't spin or agitate.


F then 50 flashes when the motor rotor position sensor (RPS) senses no rotation. ? Does basket turn freely? If not, make sure bottom shipping pack has been removed. Determine cause of friction.

My Whirlpool Cabrio 6600sw2 has lots of problems, it stops and flashes F50 over and over again, it also flashes many of the other codes, it doesn't fill with enough water and it is not washing the clothes...

this code would indicate rps sensor at motor. whirlpools are very bad with electronics and control boards. New rps sensor requires new harness as well.
