I think it might be the speed control but i'm not sur. the speed control part costs $160.00 locally does anyone know where to get used parts?
LET ME SEE IF I CAN HELP. THERE SHOULD BE A HARDWARE STORE THAT CARRIES THOSE ITEMS. IF NOT, THEN CALL THE MANUFACTURE OF THE WASHER AND SEE HOW MUCH A NEW PIEC WILL COSTT. MY E MAIL ADDRESS IS: [email protected]. GOOD LUCK AND IF YOU HAVE ANYMORE QUESTIONS, I WILL TRY TO ANSWER THEM IF I KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. GOOD LUCK.

I currently have the same problem. I had Sears come to my home and they said it was the circuit board. It's located in the bottom rear corner of the machine and held in by 2 screws and 2 electrical plugs that come out easy. The part number on my board is 131770700 and I found 3 "repaired/used" on Ebay. I bought mine for $56.
Apparently Kenmore/Frigidaire has had trouble with this part and they have revamped the part and it has a new number if buying a new one. I didn't want to sink any more money into my washer so I am going the cheap route.
