Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled, re-manufactured or clone cartridges. You might not get the print quality you expect from the ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark and these type of cartridges often result to poor print quality and/or may cause damage to the printer itself. Reliability of these type of cartridges is very poor. It is highly recommended to use genuine Lexmark cartridges for the most optimal output experience. Lexmark printers work best with genuine supplies.
Turn off the Printer and Unplug it from the Power Supply. Remove the Cartridges from the Printer!!!!! On the Backside of the Cartridge you would see a Copper Stripe, Wipe the Copper Stripe using a Paper Towel! Reinsert the Cartridges and Restart the Printer. Good Luck!!!
Make sure you are inserting genuine Lexmark cartridges.
Try to re-seat the cartridges into the printer. Remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > unplug / re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it > when the printer turns on, firmly reinsert the cartridges. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, try to clean the print cartridge nozzles. Open the Lexmark Solution Center on your computer by going to Start menu > Programs / All Programs > Lexmark Z600 Series > Maintenance tab > Under Select a Maintenace tool, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. > click Print. Then try to print a document again.
Try to open the printer cover and remove the print cartridges from the printer. Close the printer. Then, unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Try to scan again.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't position automatically to the middle even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip and gently slide the carrier to the middle of the printer. Load the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source.
Here's the User's Guide for your reference. Just click on this link: http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/2300/2300-en.pdf . Scroll to Maintaining the All-in-One, Page 52, for instructions on how to change/replace the cartridges on the Lexmark X2350. In some cases, even when the printer is on and the cover open, the carrier doesn't position to the center. Unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white tape in the middle inside the printer. Other end of it is connected to the carrier. Slowly drag the carrier to the center loading position. Load the cartridges. Close the covers. Plug printer back to the power source. Hope this helps.
I had a similar Lexmark all-in-one before. It may be stuck because you may have replaced the cartridge when it was off. Try to unplug it from the power outlet for 5 minutes. Then, plug it back in. IT should work now.
