The oil is coming from the gearcase (transmission). This is usually a symptom of a gearcase that going bad, or has already failed. Another tell-tale sign will be a spray pattern all over the interior of the cabinet walls. The following link explains how to replace a gearcase (if you wish to do so), and lists the steps necessary to access the interior of the washer:

You will need to remove the control panel to access the retaining clips that hold the entire case on the support frame. The entire cabinet will lift off the frame to give you full access to the washer interior. Its much easier than it sounds. If you have questions along the way, please let me know, so I can assist you further. I hope this helps you.

PS has some helpful exploded view diagrams you can refer to as well. Just type in the model number you provided and use the helpful links on the following page.

Sometimes the switch goes out (that little thing you held your finger on to keep it running). That's ~$20 to fix. If the washer runs, fills with water and won't spin once it reaches the spin cycle you probably need a new motor.

Open freezer, remove lower crisper & look for solid ice on freezer floor & area at rear of freezer. If present, defrost drain is restricted. Depending on make & model remove ice, remove rear wall and clear defrost drain trough and drain path. Verify by removing kick panel, pour a cup of near boiling water through drain and watch as it drains into pan. Once clear, pour one ounce of bleach into drain tube. Also check as water is draining into pan that the pan is not leaking due to pan cracks. This solution is based on the fact that you are stating no hoses are bad.

Leaks water from underneath and when load is done , if you spin the drum all you hear is a bunch of water still in there somewhere, can not see water sitting in the drum

Hey mate, thats normal for these machines to have water like sound when you spin the drum. The water leaks either come from the pump, door seal or the tube between the door & heater elements. Either way you need to remove the front panels to be able to see where the leak is.

Two screws at the rear top corners & beneath the soap dish (4) to get top off.
from the inside if i remeber correctly 2 screws to remove the front panels as well as located above door your lock units.

This will allow acess to the front of the machine, remove the door itself if you wish, after the front panels come off you could put it on again (door only) and run the machine so u can see your leaking porblems.

Have fun

The water leak is from the white tub cover on top of the tub. The seal needs replaced.

The oil is from the transmission.

I honestly would replace the washer.

Washer will kick in spin cycle, but with any type of heavy load will not spin , most times will spin if helped to get going by hand, will spin good empty or with light load.

Good day,
Without the model number or make, makes it pretty hard to come up with a solution, but if it's not a Whirlpool, Kitchenaid, Roper, or Kenmore direct drive top loader,
Remove the front panel and check the belt and tensioner.
Also, on occasion, water, and or possibly oil from an oil leak out of the bottom seal of the transmission can get on the belt and cause slippage.

P.S. On older Whirlpool and Kenmore washers, they did use a belt and you accessed it from a panel on the rear.
Belt might need adjusted, or in some cases the clutch simply wore out. Not a practical repair.

Water is not filling in tub, leaks to the floor. hoses from faucet are good, no leak there

Check the connections from the water inlet mixing (control) valve to the tub. Access to the valve connections can be acquired (usually) from the rear of the unit, and access to the tub connection can be obtained from either the rear port, or by removing the front panel. I had a brand-new Maytag washer leak on its very first load because the hose clamp on the tub inlet line was loose. I tightened from the rear access port.

If these connections and other hose connections are good, I would begin to suspect a main bearing seal or spin bearing and seal, and would depend on your specific make and model. Repairs in this latter category can be both time consuming, expensive, and may require special tooling.

I have a whirlpool duet. I had washed 8 towels 2

To get inside the machine for a look, you have to take the back panel off,
1. Pull the plug
2. Turn off and then Disconnect the HOT and COLD water hoses at the machine
3. Remove bottom, side and all but 2 top corner screws from the back panel (all around the outer edges only) then supporting the panel, remove one corner screw, let the panel down on that side, then remove the other.
4.Remove panel
5. Grab a light, look inside.

My guess is that the spinning, wobbling drum worre a hose thru.

Good Luck!
Hint: Put all the back panel screws in loose, all the way around... then tighten them

Washer leaking

It does not remove from the rear.
There are 2 phillips screws at the back right and left of the control panel.
Remove these screws and lift the control panel forward then backwards.
Unplug the lid switch wire.
Remove the 2 metal clips holding the cabinet to the back panel.
Remove the cabinet by pulling it forward.
Then you can view the leak from the tube causing your problem.
