Gestetner 3502 - how do I offload info saved on Doc Server?

I have a Gestetner 3502. It has a functioning document serverandan integrated hard drive. I am unable, however, to retrievetheinformation on the drive. I have attempted to set HD upassecondary on desktop (running XP). I don't recognize the portsonthe motherboard, although it is designed to accommodate ISDNandLAN. There is the appearance of a USB pinset on the board, butitis unlike the standard (plus the tech would've been cuttingedge, right?)
How can I transfer my saved documents?

Why is it removed from the copier? why not copy directly from the document server to your hard drive while still connected to the copier?
I don't think you will be able to read that drive from your pc even if you were to get it connected. I believe the formatting would be unrecognizable.
At the same time, it's not something that I have experimented with...this is just my 2 cents

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a Seagate Free Agent Desktop External Hard Drive. I cannot get any of my computers to access the drive. I fear the drive has crashed.

get linux puppy and boot the cd while your hard drive is plugged in, if you can mount under puppy linux and see your info choose the info you need and offload onto an external usb, copy the files over, dont move them as if disk is corrupt you could lose info, then reformatt the drive, just to let you know there seems to be alot of hard drive issues with seagate lately

What is the main function of microsoft word?

The most basic function of MS Word is to create a document/file. Once a document has been created, the user may enter data - for example by typing some text. At any point after the document has been created, the user is allowed to save the contents. The document can then be accessed at a later time and modified as necessary. Documents can be printed out at any stage in this process.

Please wait appears

Most likely this is a hard drive failure. This is especially likely if your machine has the network print and or the document server and fax options installed.
If you let it sit with "Please Wait" long enough does it ever come up with the wrench light or service code?

I need to replace hard drive for a ricoh copier 1045. How can I get the software for the hardrive, and what is the maximum size of the hard drive?

No need for software. The standard hard drive size is 10GB. I don't remember the exact limit but the machine will only recongnize a certain amount so it will do you any good to buy a larger capacity drive. Just get the smallest/cheapest one and you'll be fine. These take the smaller "laptop" size drive in case you did not know. Other than that just install the new drive and let the machine do the setup. If your old drive failed then keep in mind you will have lost any document server files, scan destination or fax destination info and will have to re-enter that info.
Good Luck

Wanting to convert ms word doc 2007 to 2003

Open the document in 2007, use the "save as" feature but select Word 200???? as your Type or Format you would like to save the document as, I woiuod create a folder Named 2003 word files, and put the newly saved as docs in there, so you will be able to use the same file name an not overwrite the 2007 files. That is ONLY a suggestion

Every time I take things from my flash drive. The pictures will transfur ok. The doc. in work looks like an empty folder. I was able to open it once. But I would loose it.

Which document proggy do you have and what type of file are you saving to your flash? doc? rtf? If you are able to save a document to your hard, it must be a file type problem.
