no info -look in your paperwork for your trailer unit and the mystery a/c unit and look up the trouble code in owners manual --notify jayco of problem --do online search of a/c using make and model for trouble shooting guide - rv shop
When you say safety switch do you mean fuse or breaker? If your breaker is popping(110 volt) then if probably is your compressor overloading the system.i would do as advised before and remove shroud(cover on roof) and clean coils or fins with some otc coil cleaner. Ive been in the buisness eight years and only one time have i change a compressor. Most people get a new ac. Sorry for the bad news
On the coleman hardtops they have/had an 2 internal braces similar to "U" channel that bolted across from side to side for added strength to support the AC. Might be smart to just drop by a dealer and browse to see if they have a unit similar to yours with AC already on and have a quick look inside to see what I mean. They were about 2" "U" shape with about a 1" x 90 degree flange/lip to sit up against ceiling, and bolted to the sides with a small 90 degree flange up against sides with 2 bolts. Also, if you check with parts dept at Jayco dealer, they should be able to order them for you, already painted and arced to fit properly from factory.
When this happens, remove filter at ceiling assy and see if there is frost on evaporator coils/fins. That would cause it to kick out until frost is gone, then kick back in. Get back to me, and I'll give you instructions on what may be causing it.
Hi; There should be a removable panel that slides out or off. Manufactures usually make the filter access easy...alpharome416 ..P.S. use a household cleaner on the filter screen a rinse both sides with hot water after giving time for cleaner to break down the muck...alpharome416
If it's the probe type, insert into fins up about 3-4 inches from bottom. If disc type, look for hole in frame on left side, low ,disc fits through hole, and clips on to coil in behind there. You should be able to feel the coil with finger first, just push a little on fins.
