Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Bought a 40GB PS3 for my dad for his birthday and it reads Blu-Rays and PS3 games just fine but won't read DVD's or CD's at all. What gives, is there a setting that I am missing because my 80GB PS3 has never given me any problem of this type. I updated the PS3 for my dad via a Thumb Drive since they do not have internet connection at their home.
Any ideas what is wrong?
Thank you for your time,
DVD portion of your blu-ray drive went out. It's a three part laser (cd / dvd/ blu-ray).
The ONLY way you're gonna be able to fix it is by replacing the blu-ray laser or by getting your machine serviced by Sony.
