Question about Seagate Travan TapeStor Travan Tape Drive
I am using travan ns20Gb tape for a Seagate drive. I don't know model number. Drive does not recognize tape even though the tape has been used many times. The tape won't back up , erase, or retension. New tapes don't work either. Presently I have 2 tapes that work and i am worried they may quit working. Operating system is windows 98. Boss doesn't want to upgrade system at this time.
Please try to use cleaning cartridge. if tape drive is still in failure. perhaps the heads is bad.
