I'd try a bios update and / or reseating the wireless card. That should fix it.

Let me know what happens or if you have any more questions. Please don't forget to rate my solution.

When the wireless button is pushed the system crashes and will continue to crash unless the button is pushed off.

uninstall the wireless software that came installed with your laptop. and if needed reinstall it again. windows will run your wireless conection manager just fine, so find out what the name of it is, goto control panel and add remove programmes , remove the software for the wireless managment and restart laptop see how you get on then.

Is this one of the HP laptops which has a wireless switch underneath the laptop? Check the bottom of the laptop to see if there is a small switch which has to be in the right position to get a wireless or wired network connection for you.

my apologies it was a typo...
the command is eventvwr.msc

what you need to do now is install a program called radarsync (google it) AND BE VERY CAREFUL TO UNCHECK THE OPTIONS OF ALL THE TOOLBARS IT WILL ASK YOU TO INSTALL THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

ITS A FREEWARE THATS WHY ALL THE TOOLBARS but trust me you dont want them.
let the tool scan for updates for your computer install the update you find for the wireless card and reboot
you shouldnt be getting the problem anymore
please rate if his fixes your issue
