Hi
To resolve the problem you are facing follow the steps below:

  1. Turn on (or restart) your computer.

  2. When the blue DELL™ logo appears, press <F2> immediately.

If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft® Windows® desktop, then shut down your computer and try again.

3. The system setup screen would be displayed.
4. Use the down arrow key on the keyboard and go to option that says drives
5. Hit enter and go to the section that reads diskeete drive
6. Hit enter again and now using the left or right arrow key , configure it to off
7. Hit the ESC key once and save changes to exit

Note : your mouse will not work in system setup screen
You can check the following link for refrence

Floppy diskette seek failure

The floppy disk or drive is damaged, or if your trying to boot your computer and you have a floppy in the drive that is not bootable. It will try and boot from floppy first then cd then hard drive usually but floppy's are stupid and only return an error and then stops. Remove the floppy disk and boot

Hi, When I try to start my Dimemsion 5150C in Windows XP computer, I received one of the following error messages "Floppy diskette seek failure Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup...

The "floppy" disk-drive (3.5-inch diskette) on your computer is broken.
Press F1 to ignore the error, and to boot from your C: drive.
Or, press F2 to enter BIOS SETUP, and then navigate through those "setup" screens to tell the computer to "disable floppy seek", or change the setting from "3.5 1.44Mb drive" to "none".
Or, take the computer to a technician, and buy a replacement disk-drive, and get it installed.
