How do i hook up an antenna to a samsung tv model no. cxj1952

If the set only has a coax cable fitting and you have a antenna with flat wire--you need the adapter that takes the flat wire and slides onto the coax fitting.

Once done in the menu you have to set the set to cable and operate the auto program etc.

The bit error level is 10 on the Ch7 stations but ok on all other stations and the signal strength is around 50 Any idea how to fix. Plugged in a different smaller TV into the same coax cable connection...

Plugging in a different tv does not really prove much, tuners vary slightly in the way they handle signals It may just be that your aerial needs a very slight adjustment or has degraded slightly.
Can you plug the coax into another device (vcr?) and out of that into the tv and see what happens?
vote appreciated

I have a Sylvanis VCR/DVDcombo and a Standard TV.

The converter box receives hte digital signals and converts them into either channel 3 or 4, or into direct video (red, white, yel). The output of the converter box must go into the VCR input for recording to work. Before the conversion, the tuner of hte VCR would receive the RF signal the same as the TV. The tuner inside the VCR is an analog tuner not digital, so it needs the conversion too. Most converters will provide both the A/V signal (R/Wh/Y) and RF (coax connector).

Hope this helps,
Dan

Can not connect cable to TV

Well I have the same problem and I have been looking for an adapter for quite a while now and cant find anything... So i ended up cutting the end off my coax cable being careful not to strip off the outer wires( just like I was going to put a new end on it) leaving the middle wire about 1 1/4" long (enough to bend it in half) then I shoved the middle wire into the middle hole of the rf input and wrapped the outer silver wire around the outside and ran electrical tape around the whole thing so it wouldn't ground itself out and I'm picking up the channels perfectly. Hope this helps

Coax that looks like RCA?

There is a distinct difference between coax and phono (rca) cabling. Coax, sometimes called RF, is a cable that carries audio and video at the same time, what we call a "modulated" signal. RF connections look as if they are threaded on the chassis of your TV or VCR etc. A lone "Phono" cable moves either audio or video, but not both at the same time, unlike coax.
If you are attempting to patch RF, your cable must be coax at both ends.  Hope that helps.
