Ok so your trying to complete a download off some sort on your playstation three and no matter how many times you switch your playstation three on/off, its not working?! Here is a step-by-step instructon guide on how to fix this error.<br />
Firstly turn on your playstation console, select your user account. Then when you enter the main playstation menu screen, Scroll to "settings" and enter. When you get to settings, scroll down untill you see the icon "internet settings" if you scroll down even after that yo will see "media server" you will have a option to disable/enable. Well simply disable it and go and complete your download, then follow the process to enable it again. Now the issue you having is solved.
Hi and thank you for using fixya:
You said you see a blank menu screen. What are the options on the menu? what do you see exactly. While your console is on press down the power button for 30 seconds to restart to factory settings.
That is actually a poor conclusion. There are three different lasers, one for blu-ray, one DVD and one for CD games all in one holder inside. It certainly CAN be the laser. The description id the DVD/Blu-ray part is having focus problems. Contact Sony for a service center that can install a new drive (It needs to be calibrated on install)
to reset the video settings you have to turn the main switch on the back of the ps3 then place your finger in the on sensor in front of the unit with your finger there turn the main power switch on the back of the unit the playstation turns on keep your finger there until you heard one bip and then remove your finger from the on sensor before the unit turns off if you keep your finger there for too long it will shuft off the unit so remove your finger once you heard the first bip and wait about 40 to 50 seconds some playstations take that long to restart after resetting the video card if this do no work try few times but if still not working then your graphics card is bad and sorry it can't be replaced
ok go to youtube and type" PS3 REPAIR/FIX" basicly what you do is put the ps3 on standby (the red light on) and then turn the main power off (the back switch) then hold the I/O button in the front (the on switch you use to put on standby) just hold it until it will go to standby then hold the I/O button again (the standby button) and then keep holding it until you hear one beep, then wait for two quick beeps. Then there should be a menu and select "Restore Defualt Settings". If it dosent work CONTACT SONY!
Had the same problem. When I turned on the console, the screen went a bit fuzzy at first and then remained blank. There was no sound either, but I could still turn it off with the controller. I checked all the connections and even plugged it into another T.V. I have now discovered the problem! The scart connector which came with the PS3 wasn't working properly. Didn't have the prob before because I wasn't using it. Hope that this helps. If not, try holding the power button down for a few seconds after turning on the system. You'll hear a beep noise and the system will try to adjust its AV output or something. Worth a try anyway.
