On a Tappan, raise the top cooking surface and look underneath.
There should be a model plate with a really long model number attached to the inside frame.

I appreciate your inquiry, Tiffany Robinson!

I understand that you need assistance in removing your broiler drawer on your Frigidaire range. Could you provide the model number, please? With the model number I would be able to provide you further assistance. You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the door frame behind the bottom drawer. Once I have additional information I would be able to assist you better. I look forward to helping you. -Matt

KitchenAid Model KESC307 has a broken oven heating element. Can you fix this yourself? How? How much is part?

Hello Tgilreath,

I understand that you are having a problem with you KitchenAid range. The oven element is broken and needs replaced and you would like to know the cost of the element.

I can instruct you on how to change the element in your range. However, I do not know if it is the top of bottom element and the change procedure is the same on both of them. However, when looking up the element to tell you where you can purchase and the cost I came across many different KitchenAid models that contained the numbers you gave. There should be more letters and numbers on your tag for the model.

The following is steps are how you change out your element:

1. Disconnect the power to the unit
2. Remove the lower back cover on your range (the one that sits directly behind your oven)
3. Locate the two prongs on the bad element sticking thru the oven wall and remove the wires
4. In the oven remove the racks
5. In the oven remove the two screws holding the element in place
6. Remove the element by pulling in forward
7. Install new element in Reverse

You can locate the element on Sears Parts Direct at the following web-page, however you will need the full model number You may also reply to this thread and I will get you a part number and the exact page you need to order the part.

Thank you for choosing

most likely you have a bad ignitor, remove the racks, remove the floor to the oven, remove the flame spreader, put the oven on 350,if the flame doesn't lite within 40 seconds you have a bad ignitor.i looked up your model number,it shows a round ignitor but when i look up the part number it shows a flat ignitor, call your local parts store, give them the full model number that's on the machine, open the bottom draw, look at the left or right side of the frame around the draw opening not on the draw and you'll see the model and serial numbers, give them the full model number and they will give you the correct ignitor, let me know how long it takes before the flame lites

Hi I just baked a piece of aluminum onto the bottom of my Kenmore oven, and I've read that you can replace the bottom panel. Is this true or not? My stove is model #55502

Yes, you can replace the bottom oven pan on most ovens. There are two screws that hold the panel in place towards the rear of the oven. With the screws removed, the panel will lift out of the oven. Remove the oven racks for better access.

Before replacing the panel, however, you can remove it and try to use an oven cleaner to remove the baked on aluminum. If you take it outdoors, you can use a higher concentration and avoid any fumes in your home. If the aluminm still will not come off, any of the following websites carry most popular brand parts:

All these sites are reputable with competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed also include helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you locating and properly identifying any part you may need.

The model number you provided does not cross to anything that I have been able to search. Please verify your complete model number and post back if you need further assistance. The model number is located on a nameplate around the oven door opening or lower drawer opening on MOST ranges. Some models (such as Maytag) will have the model numnber located on the back of the control panel.

I hope you find this information helpful.

I do not have the manual of my kiched aid superba cooking rangeANd I dont know how to find the model number .Can you please help me in finding the model number of my cooking range so that I can find the...

Usually the model number is on the leg behind your bottom pull-out drawer. If not there, then look where the oven door sets into the oven frame on both sides, or the very bottom where the door hinges. If you have an older unit that has a top that lifts up, then look under the top. Some brands hide their model number behind a oven vent or grill, shine your flashlight through the oven air grills and see if their is a model number plate behind the grill. Finally some units will have the model number removed by the factory if it was a unit returned under a lemon law. These are not supposed to be sold to the public, but we have seen them. In these cases the only way to get some parts is to pull the actual part and see if their is a part number on it. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

If there is a hole in the metal hinge near the base; put a nail in the hole to keep the hinge from closing until you get the door in place and then remove the nail.

Replace temp sensor on KESC307 range

Model number is not complete and about 30 models start with "KESC307".
If you remove the two screws that hold in the sensor, Whirlpool part number 3148440, you can pull it out to cut and splice the wires together from inside the oven. Wire nuts are provided.
The part cost about $70.00.
