Question about Whirlpool WFW8300SW
My washer has been running abit more noisely the past few days during the final rinse (very loud humming), and now indicates "5d" and then does not complete the spin, drain cycle.....Help! my washer displays the code 5d and sometimes doesn't complete the cycle
Take bottom panel off should be 3 to 4 screws and will come off then you will see your drain pump in the middle in the center with a plastick cap you can take off. before you take off get plenty of towels ready because water will come out try leaning unit back until you dont have to hold it then take cap off and clear any debree you find and put cap back on and try running again offen to much debree can damage pump and might need to be replaced!

open the bottom panel,3 screws on bottom
check the drain plug ,
remove the plug , mop up water ,
look inside for clogs ,
look above the ball,
look inside the propellers, spin the pumps propeller by hand.
feel around the inside of the front rubber gasket for items.
