check ur power connection from wall socket to ur pc.....also make sure its tight to ur screen....including all othere cables going to screen if this not solves the problen bring ur monitor for service........could be a problem inside with power pac
it could be an issue with your graphics card, is this a recent issue or a gaming problem? does it happen all the time? if always dark you could check your brightness settings etc, or get the backlight checked by a technician. if the backlight has gone, you will see the screen fine if you shine a torch onto it.

First of all, there is one "chronic" problem with LG monitors: solders. Check soldering of Video Amplifier IC303, Flyback Transformer, Q833( ! 210V) , deflection coils socket, Vertical IC601, XTAL X401 and so on...
In Your case, probably the cause of "green, amber, amber" lights is lack of 15V on the Verical Amplifier IC601. DPMS is activated, and monitor does not work at all, even power off.
Replacing Q912 (2SA1273) solve the problem. I replaced him with 2SA1680 PNP 1A 900mW 60V, and all is OK.
This problem is fundamental for ALL 17'' Flatron monitors, repaired by me (over 30).
