SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can't install cd disk in mac mini. Won't go in.

Hi Roberta, do you have any small (or not so small for that matter) children?
Normally if a CD won't go in, then there is something else already in there - quite often a foreign object like a credit card, a Mini-CD or a biscuit!
When tyou insert your CD does it come to an abrupt stop or does it come to a soft spongey type stop? Does it make any noise?
If it's the former then there is probably something already in there.
Regardless of what happens I think you are heading towards a service centre to have it looked at.

I mistakenly changed the hard drive name on my MacBook and have lost access to iPhoto and iMusic files. Is there a way to recover my previous desktop and access settings?

I take it that you have forgotten the original name of the hard drive if not just rename the disk. Failing that go into itunes go to preferences and then click on the Advanced tab and you can then change where you media files are.

For iphoto look at this article on the apple website

Hope this helps

CDs get stuck in the slot of my mac mini---3 years old.

Ok, let's go through the options in case you have missed one. Command E, Open Finder and click eject button next too it's name, dragging the item to trash, press F12, or hitting eject on the keyboard. If none of those work make sure the drive is not just busy. Sometimes you have to wait a few seconds even after stopping the application. You can use Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities to eject a CD. Open Terminal and type drutil tray eject If that fails, in Terminal type drutil list and then look at the list and find the drive. Tyoe drutil tray eject 1 The 1 should be replace with whatever drive # you found in the list.

Lost iphoto back catalog after an import, is there anyway to recover these photos?

the back catalog of your images are not gone. Since the pictures you have uploaded form your camera to iPhoto all those files are still there. All you need to do is re-load the images into the library of iPhoto.
1) Start iPhoto, then in the menu goto File / Add to library..
2) Then a file browsing window will open, all you need to do is locate the folder in which u had specified to iPhoto. (Default location for iPhoto is located at MainHD / Users / Username / Pictures / iPhoto Library
3) Once you have located the folder or folders you wish to add to your library or catalog just press import. And all the images should show in the catalog.
4) if you have more pictures saved in another folder, then repeat steps 1 to 3 again. but in step 2 locate the folder or drive you wish to import from.

Copy recorded music on Apple Mac and listen to it using iTunes

make sure that the actual file is saved on to your jvc first of all , so it can be transferred , because like some camcorders you have to finalize the video before it can be used on another equipment , then if that does not work , just download audacity or any mac recorder for free of the web and play the fm radio live via av leads in to your mac and record it live coming from your jvc make sure you save it as an acc( cd quality ) file for best quality or mp3

Dynex Mini Card Reader

I had this problem & after getting hung up on by dynex support and best buy I figured it out myself. 1-go to dynex site and download driver for mac http://www.dynexproducts.com/p-580-dynex-5-in-1-usb-20-mini-memory-card-reader.aspx this file will be named something like DX-CRMN1 Setup.fit will be encrypted and will open up a document with only symbols if you don't have a decompressor or expander. 2-You will need to download the stuffit expander at http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20954 3- once you download that open the expander which will open a window with a blue circle and four arrows around it. DRAG THE DYNEX SETUP FILE INTO THE CENTER OF THE BLUE CIRCLE 4-After a few seconds a file will appear on desktop labeled something like Alcor generic (if thats not the name for you just look on your desktop for a folder that wasn't previously there) 5- at this point put your memory card into the card reader and the lights should start flashing on the front and the card will be recognized. At this point iPhoto opened and I was able to import the photos.
HOPE THESE STEPS WORK FOR YOU & LET'S NOT BUY ANYMORE CRAPPY DYNEX PRODUCTS.

Transfer iTunes music from Apple computer to PC

There are two ways you can do this:
CD First make sure you have iTunes 5 or 6, and using the Back Up To Disc feature, burning all the music onto CDs, and then uploading the CD music to the PC.
If you already have the CDs of the music, and didn't buy the music online, then of course you can just upload them to the PC.
There is more information on the Apple website: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382?viewlocale=en_US
iPod If you have an iPod, you can use it for the transfer. Better just to send you to the website: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329

I hope this helps.  Shari Dyer

Mac mini and iphoto

It should be in the restore CD/DVD that came with the Mac. You can extract the installer without doing a full reinstall with Pacifist
