Question about Panasonic PV-GS500 Camcorder
I have installed the videocam suite 1.0 that came with the camera and the program works fine. I plug my camera into the usp port and it wont let me select the pc connect option, it will just tell me to connect ac adaptor. So my pc cannot recognize the camera or something.... so i cannot have my movies i recorded on the pc. but if i go down to the pictbridge option it will connect to the pc just fine but i can only see the pictures on the pc. im just super frustrated because i just bought this camera and it wont connect to my stupid computer which is windows vista by the way. please help!!!
Try this, someone else recco'd it (it may have been here but at another section) but this is free and szeems to work just fine converting videos into a usable format (of your choice) onto your PC.

I have written my own tool SDcopy to copy/convert the original MOD files to the PC as MPG files.
You can download sdcopy from here:
To edit these mpeg2 files I use Magix Video Deluxe(european version) which is Magix Movie Edit Pro in the US and I am very happy with it.
I used Ulead Videostudio,Womble and Sony Vegas in the past but find Magix to handle mpeg2 files best.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
