Re: controller and consolle
You can try hard resetting the controller.
Flip the controller over, and press the reset button. It's to the right of the middle-top screw .
You'll need something like a paperclip, toothpick, or something similar
to push the button. Once you've reset your controller, connect it to
your PS3 with a handy USB cable, and press the PS button (just like you
did when you first got the controller). Now, it is paired again, and
you should be OK.
I've read that not allowing the controller to die will help prevent this, so try and keep your controller charged If
that doesn't work, another issue might be your cell phone and bluetooth
headset (especially if you have the headset also connected to your
PS3). Try turning off the headset, or if you use the headset on your
PS3 as well as your phone, turn off your phone's bluetooth adapter. I
was having this issue when I was using my Plantronics headset with my
PS3 and cell phone.
Got this info from Kaivarri.
Let me know if that helps, if not let me know and I'll give you some more tips. Please don't forget to rate.

I can not locate a Remote For PS3 By Gigaware now if its a controller Follow these steps
Connect to PS3 1. Turn on your console and plug the receiver into the first port on the console. The RX indicator on the receiver flashes. 2. Slide POWER ON/OFF to ON to turn on the controller. The controller’s POWER indicator lights and the 4 port indicators flash. 3. The controller connects with the receiver automatically after about 3 seconds. If successful, the RX indicator on the receiver lights. 4. Press the PS button to assign a controller number. The corresponding port indicator lights. Manual Search If you are unable to automatically connect, try manual adjustment. 1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 under “Connect to PS3.” 2. Press CONNECT on the receiver. The RX indicator flashes. 6 3. Press and hold SELECT and L3 (left analog stick) on the controller simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. When the RX indicator stays lit, release SELECT and L3. 4. Press the PS button to assign a controller number. The corresponding port indicator lights. n Notes: • Repeat “Connect to PS3“ or “Manual Search“ if the connection fails again. • If you purchase a new receiver for the controller, but have previously been using it with the supplied receiver, you will have to follow connection steps again. Reassigning a controller number 1. Press and hold the PS button for one second. The functional screen displays. Select “Controller Settings”, then “Reassign the controller.” Press X to confirm. 2. Use the D-pad to select the number that matches the controller’s port. 3. Press X again to confirm. The corresponding port indicator lights up. 7 Connect to PC 1. Plug the recevier into a PC’s USB port. The receiver’s RX indicator flashes. 2. Slide POWER ON/OFF to ON to turn on the controller. If connection is successful, the RX indicator on the receiver lights and the 4 port indicators on the controller turn off. Test the controller 1. Open the control panel on your PC, and double-click “Game Controllers.” Then click “Properties“ and the testing screen appears. 2. Press the buttons of the controller. After testing, press OK to exit. You are now ready to play games. Troubleshooting If the controller stops working at any time, or will not connect to PS3 or PC, follow “Manual Search“ steps on pages 5-6.
Try this: Switch on controller 1 on, now hold down the PS button, now select Re-assign controllers and set this one as 1. Now turn it off.
Switch on controller 2 and do the same as above but Re-assign the controller as 2. Now power off.
They are both trying to grab the top spot at the same time.
If this doesn't work, connect that controller using the usb cable and do the same as above.
If the controller still has botth LED's lit when the usb cable is connected, then either the controller is faulty or the PS3 is at faulty and may have to but set back to factory defaults, do this first and if that doesn't sort it out then the controller is faulty.
ok this isnt really a problem, they will turn off after a min or two. just w8. not if this continues, like i said no problem. turn on your system and connect the usb cord to the controller. it should redirect the signal in the controller and well it should work good again. good luck
You can change the controller port/number assignments. If the controller port/number is specified by the software, assign the appropriate controller port/number.*
Controller port 2-D cannot be assigned using the PS3 system.
You can check the current controller assignments by pressing the PS button on the controller.
