You didn't say if you went thru the FinePix installation -- and if so, did
it tell you it succeeded, etc.? Are you using Windows of some kind? If so,
check Start..Control Panel..Add or Remove Programs and see if the Fuji
software is listed. If not, you didn't install successfully so try again.
If it is listed, do an uninstall, reboot, install and reboot. You MUST
follow the software installation procedures EXACTLY .. i.e. read everything,
and follow instructions to the letter.
Another problem may be that you do NOT have your USB ports enabled even
thought your software is installed properly. To see if you do have USB
ports active, go to control panel again and open the "System" icon. Not
knowing what version of Windows you have (IF you do have windows), I can't
really tell you the exact steps, but you can check to see if the USB
hardware is enabled, functioning, etc.
BTW, you do not need the entire Finepix software suite to actually get your
pictures into the windows PC. All you need is the USB device drivers for
the camera and simply treat it like an external removable storage device so
you can copy, move, etc. like any other files on your hard disk.
